Torquay Beach
This is a very nice beach. On a sunny day, it is great to walk along this beach and enjoy the scenery. Do take care with the water, because I did see sewage pipes run straight into the ocean, so I suspect the water quality is not great (although I did not go in to find out). On Saturdays, there is also a market by the beach selling local trinkets.

Beautiful kids-friendly beach! Warm waters, super soft sand and hermit crabs everywhere! The waters are really calm and you can go a decent distance into the ocean with the waters below your knees and waist

The Torquay beach where google maps takes you is not dog friendly, you need to do 2kms away opp Zephyr st there is steps down & signs saying dog friendly, all day on lead & between 3pm & 8am off lead.

A nice beach with great sunset views! The water is very calm without any big waves. Heaps of places you can get food from nearby to have lunch/dinner by the beach.

Torquay Beach
Torquay Beach is ideal for picnics and family outings as there are plenty of bbq and picnic tables off the sand. Shell collectors will be delighted with the treasures to be found in low tide. Safe swimming throughout the day. No surf though. Parking is plentiful. During Easter period the sand does disappear during king high tides but this is not usual

Great place with heaps of car parks along the esplanade. Great place for a fish or to grab some fish and chips and enjoy lunch on the beach. There is a playground for the children and toilet blocks that were fairly clean.
