SGIC car insurance - do not recommend. Unfortunately the repairer organised by SGIC missed a few things that we picked up on afterwards. Communication needs to improve, as well as resources. After lodging a complaint there was no compensation. Will be looking elsewhere at the time of renewal.

Shocking claims department

SGIC Car Insurance...run....do not go with them. Customer Service gets a minus 100 million. Takes nothing less than an hour to get through. Normal is 1.5 hours. Not joking. I've called them in excess of 6 times and not once less than an hour on different occasions. They are clueless to how things work. Their claims officers are inadequately trained or unskilled. My claims manager says it's my problem to get evidence, not hers. She even put it in writing. SAPOL have refused an interview so she insists I make them. Like...hello??? After getting all info from SAPOL Privacy and paid for it, she tells me to pay again and ask them for the same info as she isn't satisfied with what they provided. The immature indignation of this company is unbelievable. Please please please don't ruin your stress levels by joining these incompetent, full of monthly even yearly delays to your claim. A BIG joke! Run fast!

Never try to get health insurance from this company, not paying for any doctor visit. Means you pay your money to the fire

Having problems had all my jewellery stolen and took out extra for my jewellery ,of 10,000 and they willing to pay me only a 3rd of it , because I didn't have pictures of all my jewellery to prove I had it

They don't even pick up the phone after several trying with different number! Merger with SGIO made it worse!!
