Ipswich Wing Chun Kung Fu Academy

After thinking long and hard about this review I am giving this place one star (the instructors are great) unfortunately though it was not made absolutely clear to me upon signing a 12 month contract for my young son that if I was to choose to leave I would be stuck paying the 12 months. There are no exit fees at all. I wasnt made fully aware of this until I rang up to let them know we no longer wished to continue. I spoke with the manager letting him know myself and my husband who was with me while signing the contract was not made aware of these terms. He stated it was not his fault it wasnt made clear, he's a small business and unless I paid the fee in full knowing the miscommunication I am stuck with it, during this conversation I found out their cooling off period is only 10 hours or less. I felt tricked.My son went for just 6 weeks at the beginning of the year before we decided it wasn't for him. I have been paying 6 months of fees now while my son no longer goes here. I am beyond disappointed. I feel conned and let down.

Like Hayley, I was trapped by the sharp" business practice here: locked into a contract and when i tried to suspend due to an injury sustained in the class at this establishment they suspended but then just quietly resumed billing my credit card without waiting for me to heal up and re attend. And when i challenged them about it the owner just argued and refused to refund the charges that had been made for NOTHING.It is all about the credit card details here.Be warned."

New to this and can say that it suits what I'm looking for. Not too harsh on my body as they have different classes to help keep me fit. I would definitely recommend trying out Wing Chun.

Very positive environment. The team is ready to help , the instructors are amazing, and the experience is life changing.

Guy named Carl, mates with one of the instructors tried to start a fight at my work (now banned for life). Will teach self defence just not self restraint....I live and work in Ipswich, i am not mistaken.

Wasn’t sure at first if this was for me but after my first two sessions I knew this was a process and I would benefit greatly from it. 3 months in not only have I dropped two pant sizes I’m more confident and focused day day

Awesome place. Trainers are great. People are good too. Very easy to get along with everyone.

Fairly good instructors and the style could be useful and i could see how it would be effective in a real fight if you could remember all the steps. But the negatives being no free trial and a sign up contract of a minimum of 6 months, right after the initial private lesson and no way of cancelling early out of the contract. But the art form is very effective as i have found out with experience.

This place is great. Been going here for years. Me and my children love it. Helped my children build more confidence and also helped me get active and fit again. Love this place.
