Ida Falls Creek

Den Tunnel haben wir gefunden. Durch den Tunnel führt Wasser, man kommt aber mit etwas Geschick ohne einen nassen Fuß hindurch. Danach ist ein Weg alsbald nicht mehr zu identifizieren. Alles ist zugewachsen und mit umgestürzten Bäumen übersäht. Anscheinend hat ein Buschfeuer die Gegend ganz schön in Mitleidenschaft gezogen. Es ist eher klettern als spazieren gehen…

Fantastic place great walk, locals only

I recently walked on this trail to Ida Falls. It is a rough track as some parts of the trail have overgrown ferns and fallen trees obstructing the trail. There are also parts of the trail where are steep climbs on stairs carved into rocks.There is an entrance from Bells Road next to the railway not far from Lithgow Station. You have to walk under the bridge of the railway line which Ida Falls Creek flows. The tunnel is quite dark and slippery. Once coming out of the other side, there is a field of long grass containing skinny walking trails. You'll pass a dumped old rusty car from 1950. Please beware of snakes in the section of the trail as the grass is long and they are not able to seen! Copper and brown snakes have recently been spotted in this area.
