Perfect hole-in-the-wall for a delicious coffee and even more delicious cakes! I’m going to be haunting this place…

Killer cake-away, just over the road from a killer sando joint. I took one to them and went and shared one with a friend. Welcome to the hood! I'm so happy to see people putting a vote of confidence in Fitzroy and the surrounding areas.The cakes were excellent. That matcha one slaps. I'm not usually a matcha fan, but it's a but more dense than chiffon, which I like; those sake cherries. Almost as sour as warheads candy. I wish there were more in there they were so good.The staff were excited about cake. It was nice that the guy with the braids and the girl on the coffee were vibing. Thanks again. I'll update my reviews accordingly.Update: I've been for another round of cakes. This time, I had the Raspberry Myrtle and white chocolate. The bakes are really good here. The sponge is, erm... spongey, moist, the jams are flavoursome, the cream on the outside is delicately flavoured, and it's so delicious. I don't usually eat cakes, but I can't fault them. They have been a really nice treat. They also all look amazing. I think next will be the Thai milk tea tart.There's seating outside now. Dine out or cake away.So far, I really enjoyed the cakes I've. I'm sure the sando wizards across the road did, too. I took a couple of slices to my favourite cafes too. They love them as well.Follow me on Instagram and YouTube for more.

Cake was exceptional and coffee was delicious!!! Elly makes the shop window even better <3

To be honest I was disappointed because for the price charged, the slice was considerably smaller than many similar bakers (miss trixie, Beatrix bakes, fig&salt etc) nor was it as intricate as a baker like rosemary Andrew’s or Darren Purchese to warrant the charge. Please consider your portion sizes as I am happy to pay for a reasonably cut slice.

My partner and I tried the vanilla cake upon the recommendation of the male staff. We weren't expecting much so was completely impressed by how delicious it was. The vanilla cake was soooo good. All the components of the cake (the frosting, the filling, the sponge) all gelled so well together. It was absolutely delicious. Honestly the best vanilla cake I've ever tried. There was a delicious caramelised buttery taste to it and the frosting was great. It was not too sugary and was super balanced and just yum!! It was so amazing that I am actually craving it right now and want to go back.

Honestly one of the best cakes I’ve had in a long time ! I went for the vanilla slice and mwah *chefs kiss*. Also tried the matcha chiffon roll and was pleasantly surprised by the flavours and texture. I do a bit of home baking myself and can tell that a lot of effort goes into these sweet treats! Cant wait to see and taste what other flavours they create !!
