New Century School

Very bad enviroment, tight and squished classroom, poor teaching skill, high expectation where they put things 3 years ahead of average people's knowledge, the worst thing is that they never teach anything put on the homework it self, the teachers teach in an old, dry way that looks like it is coming from the 1950's which does not encourage and modivate kids, impossible for students to learn. Also they have the worst internial communication ever and they lie about the facts so hard on their website.

My kids have been attending New Century (Ashwood campus) for 3years. The staff at New Century are very professional, friendly and helpful. They also have good knowledge of the wider education system in Melbourne. Perhaps from their long standing operations in Melbourne. Most noticeably, new century teachers have helped my son improve his writing by heaps and bounds. Previously my son has little interest in writing. Through constant constructive feedback & encouragement from the teachers, now he enjoys writing narrative essays with good ideas etc. To that i'm really grateful to the dedicated teachers there.

I went here about 9 yrs ago and I can still remember that their not professional!

I’m writing this review because I’d like to thank New Century School for all the opportunities it has given my daughters.My younger daughter studied at New Century from Yr 1 to Yr 9, and she still really values what she learnt whilst she was there. Studying in the scholarship classes was key to her receiving a scholarship to a private school and later being accepted into a selective school as well.I’ve also observed that she learnt a lot of leadership and communication skills, which helped her get competitive internships whilst studying at university. Before she interviewed for her scholarship at a well-known girls’ private school, Jane, the principal, gave her sound guidance and some very helpful tips. She also picked up great learning habits such as organisation and time management skills.My oldest daughter also benefited a lot from studying at the school. She won a Premier’s Award in VCE English after completing scholarship classes and is now a well-established lawyer. That is a testament to how professional the teachers are. Thank you again to New Century School.

Don’t recommend anyone sending their kids here for tutoring. Teachers don’t really teach here. They just go through some handout and leave it for the kids to do the work themselves and then for parents for mark the homework. The worse is the admin staff, most can’t communicate fluently in English and all have bad attitude. All they care about is making money.

The teachers don't exactly teach" your students. For English- we were just given the English homework to do

My child improved a lot through New Century. I really appreciate teaches’ hard work and all other staff’s professional support. My child got scholarship from the school that she always wanted to go and it is all with your help. Thank you

Poor service... it could be better

I've been a student at New Century School for approximately 3 years, and I cannot tell you whether the bad reviews are true or not. Some teachers are really friendly, one even offered to give someone a chocolate bar after they skipped breakfast for the exam.However, there are also some teachers that may 'flip the tables', and have a favourite and least favourite student.Let me tell you; I used to be the worst student in my school. After attending New Century, I went to the top. Of course, you may think that it's boring, and I completely understand it. I recommend it myself. (I go to the Wheelers Hill campus, if you want to know.)
