A Great bike shop! My entire Trek Fleet!

An absolute embarrassment.Went in to get a spare part as they are an ‘Authorised Trek Dealer’ and the bloke - who I can only assume to be the mighty Ken himself - wouldn’t listen when I told him what bike it was off. I was then told that he couldn’t find 5-10 minutes to stop and look it up in the system because he was busy putting stock away.Never had a shop actively prevent me from spending money I was prepared to part with yet Ken Self Cycles did so like seasoned veterans.If you’re looking for anything bike related in Hobart I’d go literally ANYWHERE else.

I put a $300 deposit on a trek remedy (which the store already had on order at the time) and then because of an injury was not able to go through with the purchase. I contacted Chris straight away to let him know. He had indicated that if I wanted to keep the deposit and see how I recovered I could put it towards another bike later. Getting another wasn’t realistic so I contacted them again around my partner’s birthday to ask if I could utilise it as a store credit and that I would be spending close to $700 on top of the $300 deposit (new helmet, clipless shoes, x3 shorts, x2 jerseys). It was passed on to me that this would not be allowed as Chris was ‘annoyed’ he now had to discount the trek that his store had on order prior to my deposit anyway. Pretty ironic as they were having a sale and their entire trek fleet was $1000 off. Very disappointing as I would have still been spending a significant amount of money with their store. Good lesson in substandard customer service and I’m glad to take my business elsewhere.

Fantastic. Ever friendly, helpful and they've always got interesting bikes and gear in stock. I highly recommend!

They're your best friend until you've given them your money, thereafter any warranty issues are too much trouble to deal with and must have been your fault. Took my trek to another dealer and they ran the warranty no dramas.This shop still uses old school paper receipts for everything, so if you don't remember where you leave them you're going to be hard pressed to prove you bought anything from them except for your bank statement. I wanted to warranty a helmet and they wouldn't do it either unless I jad proof of purchase from 9 months prior.Never again.Go to Cyclingo/Roll or any other bike shop in Hobart area, they actually operate their businesses as if it's the 21st century.

I drove to launy to buy a Trek, so I could avoid spending money here.They’re only interested in making a sale.

Bought a mountain bike from here about 8 months ago and couldn’t recommend a better place to buy from. As a beginner myself with very little experience, both salesmen were more than helpful with guiding me in the right direction for my purchase. I was able to test ride and try on protective gear as well! I get my bike regularly serviced here and they are always a pleasure to deal with! Amazing customer service and knowledge about their products. 12/10!!!!

Always a great experience with chris and crew. Knowledgeable and old fashioned service with a smile. Good products and competitive pricing. Highly reccomend
