I hate to give bad reviews to small business... I wanted to try this place as outside claims #1 Pizzeria" and I feel really sad to say the pizzas are quite far from #1. The pizzas I got

Very good pizza, the flavor is amazing you can tell that they make their own tomato sauce

pizzas are great, toppings are plentiful, I would give a 5/5 except menulog states 1 closing time, google states a different closing time and store rarely seems to answer phone, If you can get the order to go through, I am happy to suggest this joint as best pizza in Sydney. Alberto's --- Update menulog and google, its hurting your business, they are all heading to Angry Tony's Pizza Mascot instead

Excellent service, very prompt and friendly with short waiting time for placing the order and receiving the food.Generous toppings on the pizza but crust a bit too doughy.Place does delivery and special deals for takeaway. BYO (you can bring your own wine to drink thete).

Alberto's Pizza in Newtown is a King Street institution serving old-fashioned tasty pizzas before they became fance. We ordered the #5 deal, good value for instire ordering and pickup. The venue is starting to look a lithle bit old and tired, but that's a small thing, it is very clean and neat..The service attendant was polite.Takeaway order was ready within 16 minutes.

Alberto's has been my favourite Sydney pizza for years - for me it's got that increasingly rare, slightly salty, suburban 90s pizzeria flavour. The cabanossi and stringy mozzarella hits in a way lots of 'contemporary' pizzas don't. It's recently changed owners (vale to the big man - an icon), but I'm delighted to say the recipe hasn't changed. Great value ($25 for a big 15)

A hearty pizza with plenty of character. When you feel like plenty of toppings and some old school vibes, Bert's is perfect. Chicken Madras with cucumber and cashews is bizarre and amazing.

I generally don't post reviews unless I have an absolutely terrible experience. Without any exaggeration, this place had the worst food that I've ever had the misfortune of tasting. I've had some bad food in Sydney, but this takes the cake. I've never been this sick after having a meal before. We ordered two pastas, one of them had meatballs in them which smelt old and rotten. The other pasta had broccoli in it, which was clearly frozen. The food overall tasted very old and lacked flavour. We were served garlic bread, but that was clearly $2 frozen garlic bread from the local supermarket. We left without finishing our food as the food and service was abysmal. The staff was not familiar with the menu, and when I asked them if the pasta smelt rotten, they replied with it smells like a normal pasta".0 stars for this place. Avoid."

Regrettable - pizza tasted like processed cheese on a base with a lack of tomato or herbs (margarita). Pasta was over cooked and tasted like a non descript supermarket jar was poured over it. Not the worst pizza I’ve ever had - that would be reserved for Dominos, but definitely won’t be back
