Hindmarsh Island Caravan Park

Spacious neat well maintained park with friendly staff. We used the camp kitchen which was neat and well set up.

Nice quiet caravan park on Hindmarsh Island close to the river. Literally a 1 minute walk to the river.Heaps of space around, especially in the massive unpowered section, so there is almost no chance over there that anyone will be within 30 metres of you.Powered section is more traditional layout.Nice little camp kitchen built into a shed and outdoor bbq area with 2 bbq’s.Toilet block is very clean but very dated. Men’s showers only had 2 out of 4 operating. This could be a nightmare in a busy season.Big jumping pillows for children, plenty of room here too.Very cool retro swimming pool area aswell.Staff are very friendly with a small shop at the front of the caravan park too.Just a 4 minute drive from the centre of Goolwa.

Absolutely gorgeous place to go and stay with generous fees the camp sites are in a great location powered or un,powered we went with un,powered as our camper is set uo to be off grid and we loved it there great pool great playground for the little ones bbq area is also great and the park is in a great location with in a 5min drive to Goolwa where you'll find everything you need cafes restaurants shops and even a great market on the weekend

Wished we had inspected the Park prior to booking. The Park is in a dismal state, dust bowl, facilities dated & unkept, camp kitchen inadequate. We found the Park Manager to be unwelcoming & rude. No parking available out front of Reception, parking taken up by staff, & family of staff vehicles, made booking into the Park very difficult. Sites inadequately numbered, no lighting surrounding or within the powered or unpowered site area. We definitely would not recommend the Park to anyone considering booking.

Stayed from late Dec till after New years 2023 on a powered site. Very poor and lack of basic facilities. One central rubbish bin for whole of park and no dump point for caravans and motor homes. Remote from town and points of interest. Stay elsewhere if you have a choice.

We booked online paid deposit. Because of family emergencies we were a couple of days late. Rang daily to fill them in. We had booked a unpowered site for 3 weeks. Paid a week when we arrived. Stayed 3 days . Went to pay the other 2 weeks to be rudely told we were not welcome. Horrible woman. No valid reason. Just we were late. I would not recommend this park to anyone. Deplorable treatment.

I liked this park the showers and toilets were allways clean, the camp kitchen had everything you would need, I'm not sure about the laundry as I allways keep clear of washing clothes while I am away, and the staff are friendly the sites are a mixture of rural open spaces at the back of the park and the front is a mixture of caravan and cabins the shop is licensed to sell alcohol and coffee ,and the river is just across the road where you can sit on a grassed area and relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.
