I went to Michaela as a complete singing novice and stayed with her for about 2 years and loved every minute of my weekly singing lesson! When I went to her I firmly believed I was tone deaf and she would probably tell me she couldn’t help but instead she told me everyone can learn to sing. So began one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve ever had, I loved those lessons! Eventually I felt confident enough to join a choir, something I never would have believed I could do. Michaela is extremely knowledgeable, patient, inspiring, generous and accommodating. If you have an opportunity to learn from her, do it, you won’t be disappointed!

Michaela is the best singing teacher I have ever had, plus she is so inspiring, funny, patient, generous, and full of heart.I can finally now sing using my own natural voice, sing higher notes better and support my voice better. There was huge improvement just within the first few lessons, even after years of singing lessons with other tertiary level teachers.Michaela is completely present, really listens, is full of understanding and compassion, and is so skilful at helping me use and even invent techniques and tools that help me, at the time I need it. She helps me to learn my own way, the only way that really works for me.As a musician, my jazz performance has gotten so much better, and I am even happily singing opera too now! We have also explored pop, folk and R&B – basically whatever I want to do, she helps me do. Michaela even helped me sing 3-part harmonies with me, myself & I!She has been so incredibly supportive, encouraging and helpful with performing as well. I am learning so much about live performing, accompanying myself singing, working with bands, mic techniques, and so much more.To top it off, Michaela is so organised and communicates well, too – reliability is so important. In summary, the learning has been so joyful, beneficial and deeply healing.I honestly have not met a better singing teacher, and cannot recommend Michaela highly enough.
