Cougar Homes

Cougar Homes are an absolute joke. They built a house next door to me and damaged my fence about 4 months ago. Causing nearly $1000 worth of damage. Despite numerous phone calls and emails, no one ever called me back or did anything about it. I am disgusted that they at least didn’t apologies or communicate with me at all and left me with a bill for $1000, so thanks a lot for that Cougar Homes.. !! Who knows how they would treat their customers... I would strongly recommend another builder based on this dealing.

Absolutely awesome builders to deal with. It was my first home and I was feeling nervous, but Chloe made everything a breeze. Honestly could not fault these guys at all. Cant wait to build again with Cougar Homes!!!

Anyone who has ever built a home knows that there are always some things that don’t always go quite to plan but overall, the building experience with Cougar Homes was exceptional in every way. In writing this testimonial I wish to be open and honest with the readers. I am not involved with Cougar Homes in any capacity other than as a client of a single home build but I would genuinely and sincerely say that I would recommend Cougar homes to any prospective client.From the onset, we found Cougar Display Homes to be a cut above the rest for the builders of the home we were looking to build. Both is Townsville and Cairns, we found the sales staff to be genuinely interested in our happiness of the end product and even though at times we asked a lot from them, nothing was too much to ask. In particular, our initial interactions with Chloe was the major reason we ended up choosing Cougar Homes and her professionalism continued to be of the highest level throughout the entire process. The planning phase of the build went without any incident and all expected timelines were met.The building of the home went well in all areas accept there was one error which unfortunately had a roll on effect that became frustrating for both Cougar Homes and ourselves. Having said that, at no stage were we ever concerned about the quality of the end result of our home. Even 18 months later our home continually excites us and we love it in every way. Also, it has to be said that Cougar Homes never shirked responsibility for the error and always worked with us to resolve it to our satisfaction. We all make mistakes but we should be judged by how we deal with them and Cougar Homes continually conducted themselves with honour, openness and high level of integrity.Whilst the home was being constructed, all trade staff were incredibly welcoming and open to discussing the build with us. The quality of their work was inspiring and the finish on our home is of a very high standard in all areas. Our site foreman ( Darren ) was incredibly approachable and pleasant to deal with. From the onset I told him I was very clear in exactly what we were looking for and at times I am sure this was frustrating for him. Again, having said that our needs and desires were accommodated in every way in a manner which I believe went well above and beyond the required standard.In closing, the million dollar question is:“ If I was to build another home, would I choose Cougar Homes?”The answer is a resounding yes.We feel:• There was a mutually beneficial and respectful relationship maintained throughout and beyond the building process.• The quality of the home is exceptional.• We look back on our experience as a great deal of fun with only limited frustration, and• We love the home we live in.Should you feel you want to hear more to help you make your own decision about Cougar Homes, ask the staff to forward our mobile number and we would be more than happy to answer any questions you may have.Good Luck 

Cougar Homes built my investment property about 6 years ago which my tenants love. First impressions are important when you walk in and having the hallway that bit wider really creates a great sense of space. Plenty of storage and fixtures and fittings are of an exceptional standard which means little to no maintenance. They have very high standards and I'm proud to tell people my home was built by Cougar.

Cougar Homes have destroyed my dream home, not only during the build but also after completion. No defects have been fixed and the communication is absolutely ridiculous. If you want a house built on cutting corners and lies then build with Cougar. I would seriously consider doing you homework and calling the QBCC 139333 to ensure you have a good builder.

As a business owner & subcontractor to cougar homes. I'm always impressed with the quality of works they want done, not just the quantity of work done.One of the only big builders left in Cains that hasn't cut contractor cost & on quality in a changing & challenging market place.That's saying something, quality of profit. Very rare in our industry.That's why I have given them 5 stars.I see the fine detail that goes in to these homes & it's good.(I wasn't asked to give a review, I did it on my own. based on what I see, quality without compromise)

No feedback after having counsel. Very kind for the moment in Fairfield, but I couldn't hear from after that... Feel sorry for that.———12/12/20 written—-after I got the response, I called again to fairfield center a few weeks later but still so passive reaction. I know there is a boom in construction and companies in this field are too busy ...but I couldn't wait and trust that this company will build and listen to our voice for our dream home. I took an option to buy a prebuilt house. I really love your unique design but I think I was just one of your customers who are not in a convenient condition for you and can be skipped.

Signed contract 14th of August 2020, got my keys 10th of March 2023

Having same problem as Mr Buck with cougar homes, we were told we could move in November 2019 as I'm writing this it is May 2020 house is not finished cougar don't seem to care no one comes near us or tells us what is going on ,warning to everyone . Up date to previous post we have had the qbcc involved they have been very good they know cougar homes well ,unfortunately they only deal with safety issues this is now july as im writing this eight months after completion date and still not in the house ,what next
