Maitland -- Amazing Care Massage And Acupuncture

I don’t usually do reviews but have some concerns from this massage. I entered for massage with very little dialogue exchanged initially. I asked for a neck back arms massage and they said sure. They asked if I was sore anywhere and I answered that I was just here because I enjoy relaxing massages. One staff member began the massage. I could tell she was fiddling with her phone while she started my massage (with one hand) as I could hear the key tones on her phone. Minutes into the massage the other staff member entered, massage my neck for less than 30 seconds before grabbing my neck and cracking it quite audibly to both sides, then walking out. The initially staff member then continued the massage. Her technique seem quite poor, but that wasn’t my main issue. Towards the end of the massage, who I can only assume was the same staff member who cracked my neck, returned, climbed on my back, and using her ? Knees knelt with a jump onto my back. I groaned, partly due to not expecting this and partly from being winded. She exclaimed ‘you should have taken a deeper breath’ and within the next second repeated the maneuver just as heavily. To which I replied ‘enough’. She laughed and said she didn’t want to make me cry. I can usually tolerate a heavy massage. And have had enough massages (and a small amount of training in massage) to know sometimes the heaviness is required to work an area. But I certainly didn’t consent to my neck being cracked or someone jumping on me like that. There was no assessment prior to determine if these maneuvers were even safe to perform on me. Had this been my mother or father, this would have left them quite debilitated form pain and potential injury. What if a client had Herniated discs, Pins or plates, Injured or torn muscles?. No questions were asked. I felt quite uncomfortable with the situation. I won’t be returning.

Amazing is right. Allie the owner is very professional and friendly takes the time to listen to you when explaining what hurts. Very clean and hygienic. Highly recommended

I had a very thorough massage, with expert dry needling. Definitely recommending this establishment.
