My wife and I (both in our 70's) were confused as to whether we should move to a retirement village or stay in our own home. We talked to an SRS advocate who helped us understand all the help that we can access and still stay in our home..we are very relaxed and content now..thank you!

We phoned Seniors Rights to obtain advice regarding a family member’s home package. The person we spoke to was Amadis (not sure of spelling). She was patient and extremely knowledgeable. She proposed to call Aged Care on a three way phone call. The person at Aged Care was I felt quite dismissive initially, but Amadis expertly guided the conversation around to discussing what were the time frames and what could we do as a family to help move the process along. Also, what services we could try to arrange in the meantime while awaiting the level 3 package. As a result of this telephone conversation and our improved understanding of the system, some services were added while awaiting the level 3 package, which has since been granted. We have chosen a provider and are hopeful of the services starting up within a couple of weeks. Our sincere thanks to the Team! Your advocacy was invaluable to us as a family and will , I believe , make a huge difference to our elderly family member’s quality of life.I highly recommend giving Seniors Rights a call if you are in the process of navigating the home care system. Thanks again!

Our family will forever be thankful for the patience, care, encouragement & advice given to us as we negotiated a finance assessment prior to our Dad entering aged care. We always felt valued & that the emotions of this next step were valid ... he had 7yrs - happy ones - being cared for and we knew if ever there was a concern SSR was a phone call away. Thankyou to all who cared for us, had time for us & gave such wise advice & encouragement - amazing service ☺

Seniors Rights Service was very helpful in dealing with our many questions regarding issues with the return of the bond from our mother's nursing home upon her death. We certainly appreciated their advice and their patience and kindness.

Stay away from them and their solicitor, Tim Cambridge. I spent 10 days at home waiting for him to call. When I did find him, I was told to scan and email numerous documents three times. He claimed he did not receive them. On the 1st of June 2016 I sent 39 attachments one more time. Mr. Cambridge promised to read them, I did not hear from him after that.

Sadly they could not talk to me or give advice on my 86 year old friend because I am at 54 year and under age for them to talk to. Lovely lady on reception but of no help at all :(

The listed office is not even attended, nor in person or on the phone. Misleading, not good at all

I have tried every single govt. and govt. funded agency which purports to help when there is an issue of elder abuse and financial wrongdoing. I can honestly say I would never recommend any of them. Whether it is their mandate to only deal with simple" tasks or whether they are not capable of understanding anything that is even slightly complex

Located on the second floor, a service which you cannot just walk into. You need an appointment before entering their business. They are a thorough service that cares about your needs.
