Goondiwindi Water Tank Art | The Goondiwindi Water Tank Art near the Old McIntyre Bridge was an initiative of Care Goondiwindi, not only in celebration of NAIDOC week but also in response to the “Connecting Country & People” project. The mural “On the Macintyre River”, was inspired by indigenous artists from the Bigambul and Kamilaroi people.

Yeah ok. It's nice artwork but it disappears in the shade of the Silos in Yelarbon and Thallon. If you don't have much time I'd say not worth the detour. If you stop at Goondiwindi anyway for a break yes definitely go there and make best use of your break. Also, nearby are some historical information about the river and flooding history.
