Delicious selection of local produce platters to enjoy along with wines by the glass/ bottle.Indoor, outdoor undercover and lawn seating available. Grass area for the children to run around and views of the vines.Popular spot, very relaxed and enjoyable.

Met the young lady at the markets who reccomended that we come try the cellar.we had a lovely smoked eel plate and a couple of glasses of wine. Patty led us in from the parking lot. The view was lovely and we enjoyed everything we ate and drank. Worth a stop at.

Avoid to stop here. Can NOT believe.This is the wine tasting and cellar door in New World Wine paradise = Australia?!?!?Wine tasting is NOT just to pour some wine, charge and say good bye. The lady serving us with absolutely no knowledge of their own wines. On wine questions answered: I don't know!" What a wine culture???We were alone in restaurant - she had a lot of time for us. Instead of customer care she just took money and played with mobile phone. In 5 minutes was over. Actually she took my last glas with wine to wash the glas while I was tasting!After long drive we looked forward to rest and charge some energy.Seriously - what was that?I am shocked!Back to the wines - average 5 wines for 10 pp tasting fee. Riesling was quite okay but still not comparable with good Riesling."

Great little winery just off the A1 enroute to Port Fairy, as you wind down the Great Ocean Road journey from Warrnambool. Awesome selections of wines and the cheese board is to die for. The best part is they serve up Cuban cigars, the highlight of any wine pairing experience, the good red, fresh cheese and a fine stogie. Wine sommelier and owner both were very friendly and hospitable. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend. Such a great vibe and beautiful spot, friendly staff, delicious local food and wine. Wood fire outside welcomed us and cosy restaurant inside. Topped a really great day around Port Fairy. Thank you, we will definitely be back!

The lovely, knowledgeable and skilled folk at Basalt walked us through their $10 tasting menu. It was a journey of flavour and achievement.The cheese board featured a mix of local and international cheeses chosen to complement the wines.The venue sits in a vineyard with large open windows providing a natural and protected setting in which to enjoy the artisanship of our hosts.I recommend dropping in.

Fantastic local winery nestled between Warrnambool and Port Fairy.Their wines are fantastic with very refreshing flavour profiles that are very easy to drink.After doing a tasting we had a glass of our favourite wine from the tasting and also sampled some of the olives grown on site that were delicious too.

Lovely team running the cellar door restaurant. The Tempranillo and Shiraz were delightful and the food was delicious. I would stop by again for the cheese and chorizo tasting plates. Great place to stop by for a quick stop or a couple of hours as I did. Thanks for a great time to the team at Basalt, I will return!

We stopped here on our road trip to charge our EV.The charger is advertised as being 22kW but we found it only charged at 6kW so was slow.We had a coffee and the lady serving us was excellent.We spent about an hour charging before the next leg of our holiday.The fact that they have a charger is a great initiative.
