Sorry but this place has so much potential but we went last night for a friends birthday and it fell short in a number of areas. The menu was loaded fries and they were terrible. Served cold , the brisket was so fatty we couldn’t eat it. The service was slow and the staff had little interest in customer service. The toilets were dirty and the kitchen didn’t look much better. As I said the place has so much potential but I wouldn’t be recommending .

Absolutely fantastic service & drinks served by Ben & Lexie. Definitely recommend it as a go to place in Umina. Much better venu than Ocean Beach hotel.

Used to be pretty good, since they became a ghost kitchen it's a major downfall and a No from me. Who wants to go to Facebook and check a revolving menu every week?

We had a lovely family dinner here at weekend, we have kids but they put us at table near live music, 1 point our kids doesn't like noisy and we can't chat much. Service is a bit funny, after sit down, we waited for 10 mins for menu even staff is free. While we having dinner staff keep coming every 5 mins ask how is dinner, but when beer is empty there was no one come, I have to wave them few times. Then we want to order dessert, no staff come back again even they walked passed us, I raise my hand a few time. We finished dinner in 30 mins but waited to have dessert is 30 mins. Anyway, we still enjoy beers and comfort from here, good food and choice. Cheers

Had a light dinner for 2. Good atmosphere with live music.We had the brisket, mac and cheese and cauliflower bake. The brisket came with a side of slaw and pickle. The side dishes had some nice crispy bits on top, something like bread crumbs and truffle oil. Tropical pale ale for a drink.Nice special occassion quick dinner. Would come back to try other dishes and drinks, and would recommend to friends.Also had the sticky date pudding for dessert. The pudding was soaked in butterscotch sauce, with date bits. yum!We shared all dishes.In and out in under 1 hour.Some very minor things:We came in around 6.15pm where there were still lots of empty tables, but told that the only available table was the ones by the entrance. By the time we left around 7pm, there were still a few more comfortable empty 2-seater tables where we could have sat in. Oh well.The wait staff tend to congregate in the bar when not serving so you may want to make sure you are seated around there if you need more attentive service.

A feast for the eyes as well as the stomach, a good variety of GF and Veg options but you've simply got to try the Pulled Pork, Spare ribs and the Brisket. Be sure to order early as these are first in best eaten while their prepared daily servings last (we missed out on the Brisket and Ribs).Kids menu has Amazing burgers!Groovy atmosphere inside with a great kid friendly outdoor beer garden.I would definitely recommend ordering and enjoying the spare ribs at home so you can really enjoy getting every last scrap of meat off the bone coated in delicious sticky sauce.

Covid has not been great for sounds on West. Recently reopened, we had a thoroughly wonderful afternoon enjoying the musician in the beer garden but also the wings & ribs by Dan's Jerk Joint.This place should be pumping on Sunday afternoon!I love the eclectic seating and the relaxed vibe!Do ya'self a favour and get to Sounds on West Friday, Saturday or Sunday.Making a statement on West St, Umina Beach

Absolutely the best chicken burger ever. Colonel, watch out!!! Kentucky burger twice as good as yours.American burger as well, even Italian Spin to die for.Not cheap, though

Amazing dining experience!I'm from Texas and didnt know what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised! Brisket was lovely. Nice to have a place to eat some of my southern favorites when away from home. Also, really nice craft beer.Will definently coming back everytime I visit!
