Check photos for detailed information.The Tingalpa tour was my favourite, very beautiful but a bit short in my opinion, advertised as an hour thirty minutes tour (without counting getting ready before the tour though) but the reality was slightly different, just an hour doing the loop around the small island. The organiser would argue by saying it depends on people’s abilities, fitness, weather and tide! So, pretty hard to know what you will get in the end. The organiser is only there for safety purposes and not as a tour guide, you won’t get any explanations about fauna and flora. You will have to do your own research!The Brisbane tour was pretty straight forward, this one went for an hour and a half. It was nice being on the river at dusk getting to see the city lights coming up and flying foxes in the sky. The only thing I would say is the safety light device on the kayak which was made of a piece of PVC pipe with a torch zip tied at the top of it (you can see it on one of the photo). Didn’t look really professional to be fair. One couple on a double kayak had to finish the tour from the corner of the river to the finish point without a working light, all this in the dark!

We asked Andrew and kayak Fun to do a tour for our homeschool group. We all had a wonderful time.. The tour was great and catered to respective age groups and skill levels. Highly recommended.

I had the pleasure of an evening kayak tour last Sunday and the experience far exceeded my expectations.I had never paddled before and was concerned that I'd be able to keep up with the group as it was a windy day. My concerns were unfounded, paddling was easy and lots of fun.Seeing Brisbane lit up, from the vantage point of low in the water, gave us such a different perspective.Andrew proved to be a safe but not too restrictive guide and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.I wouldn't hesitate to do it again especially when entertaining visitors.Thank you Kayak Tours.

I have had wonderful opportunities to do both the Tingalpa Creek and Brisbane River night Kayak with Kayak Fun. The tours offer very different experiences.Tingalpa Creek was calm and relaxing tour in a beautiful natural environment.The Brisbane Wheel, colourful lights, kayaking under bridges and passing ferries make the Brisbane River night tour an exciting way to see the landmarks of Brisbane.Thank you Andrew for the fantastic experiences.

Thanks for a wonderful experience of exploring Tingalpa Creek and its mangroves. I appreciated the guidance in using the kayak and oar correctly. Great to see a school of small fish jump out of the water. Everyone should engage more in appreciating our waterways and what better way to do it better than in a kayak.

Me and my 3 work friends who has years of kayaking experience wanted to try Kayak fun and experience was disastrous. At the venue for the host to come for approximately an hour on the heat. When he arrived he continuously made us feel uncomfortable to the point we were thinking to leave but because my friends wanted to have a day out in the water we continued. Once on the water the guy (older) did not communicate or say anything for the first 15 minutes and did not paddle anywhere near us. He only spoke a couple of words in the whole 2 hours we were on the water. One of my friends asked a question about the area and he just nodded. Very weird. Do NOT use this place. Save yourself the money and use another operator. The tour operator looked very aggressive. At the end of the tour he insisted getting all of us to help him put back the Kayak's onto the back.There are a lot of operators out there who will provide you the experience and this guy just felt us feeling UNCOMFORTABLE and nervous.I would not recommend to friends or family with the same operator working at Kayak Fun.

please avoid this business at all cost.My friend and I booked kayak hire one day in advance and we showed up the next day, waited for half an hour and he didn’t show up. Called him and he clearly forgot about it and showed up half an hour later.When he was unloading his kayaks he got a call for last minute booking from a customer who was alone. He asked us to kayak with this customer, saying this is for our safety. We explained we only booked for kayak hiring, we had experience in kayaks and wanted to have time alone kayaking ourselves. He suddenly lost his temper, pointed his finger at my face and said: “I have a bunch of rules that you have to follow, you can’t go kayak yourselves”. We didn’t feel safe at that moment and told him we were going to call police. He then calmed down and let us do the kayak ourselves.

I was looking for a Brisbane kayaking tour and was not disappointed! Andrew was very friendly, the kayaks were fine with nothing negative to note on. The only tip I have is wear thongs as you will need to get ankle/ knee deep to hop in. Also I got really burnt on my legs, so apply sunscreen to your legs!
