Fernmount Stay

Fernmount Cottages is an absolutely outstanding property with truly beautiful grounds and very comfortable, clean and cosy cottages.The magical surrounds are testament to the caring, kind and thoughtful owners, Terrie & Steve.Travelling with my Mum, Sister and Husband we wanted to share time together as a family but still have our own private space to retreat to.We booked both cottages and were lucky to have the whole property to ourselves.We got fresh groceries from the shop just outside of the lovely little township of Bello and about 3 minutes drive from the cottages.Then drove up the small drive to a warm welcome from our host Terri and it was was clear we had struck gold.We were shown our cottages that had the thoughtful touch of welcome baskets (Milk, Tea and some cereals and fresh fruit). We put our bags down and went outside to take in the special landscape.Neighbouring pastures with grazing cows and horses, a weeping willow gently swaying and the Bellinger river flowing at your doorstep!With perfectly manicured lawns with an amazing pool at the centre and wild and beautiful garden exhibiting an array of unique flowers, fruits, succulents and herbs (thanks for letting us pick some mint for our cocktails Terri).We spent most of our time in the common area, it has a great open plan fully equipped kitchen with all the cooking utensils you need and a great bbq.We shared breakfasts at the big wooden table and sat around the fire pit at night beneath a blanket of stars.We spent our first day by the amazing pool, lounging on the comfy furniture, diving in the fresh water and admiring the open tranquility of it all.The next day was raining so we cozied-up in the cottages, got a takeaway from Za’atar (delicious middle eastern food in town) and spent the day watching movies borrowed from the very convenient small onsite dvd shop.From our warm welcome from Terri to our sweet (reluctant… its always hard to leave paradise) goodbye with Steve… we can not fault Fernmount Cottages…the care they clearly apply to what they have created and share is really special, this an exceptional place to stay and a paradise I will definitely be returning to in the future.

Well-appointed comfortable cabins in beautiful location among dairy properties on Bellinger River. Great location, just 10 minutes from Bellingen Centre, and half an hour from the pretty coastal town of Urunga. Our four days wasn't enough. Made very welcome by hosts Terri and Steve. We will certainly return again.

My partner and I had a fantastic stay at Fernmount cottages. The environment is spectacular. It is the perfect place for a romantic getaway as well as a family holiday. The cabin is clean and fully furnished with everything you need to cook and relax. From the swimming pool, you can enjoy a pitoresque scenery. And at night, you can look at the stars around the fire pit. The location is convenient. Terri and her husband have been very accommodating considering the uncertainty of our trip and welcoming. We will definitely go back.

Spotlessly clean and tidy cottage in a very peaceful rural location. Lovely views and swimming pool. Situated just 4 KMs from the centre of Bellingen.

Terri was very hospitable and accommodating. The cabins are spectacular, peaceful and very well furnished. Highly recommended and a great place for family to explore Bellingens offerings.

This place has new owners from mid Dec 2021. I left emails and messages to try to book Jan. No replies at all. Bit dissapointed as it looks a good spot. good luck.

Loved our stay! After our original accommodation turned out to be terrible. We contacted terri who quickly arranged our cottage and a few hours later we were settled in. Beautiful spot, excellent pool, nice gardens and clean well equipped cottages. Terri and steve were great friendly hosts and our daughter loved the dogs pat and mitch. Thanks again for a great stay. You feel relaxed and rested the minute you arrive. The pool is divine and the view is picturesque. Can't go past it when staying in Bellingen.

Our family stayed for a long weekend and we were blown away by this perfect setting and the accommodation. Terri & Steve were very lovely and welcoming. The cabin had everything we needed including a great little breakfast basket with goodies and some fresh milk. The pool was gorgeous and the entire property is very well maintained. We all absolutely loved the place!
