Beela Martin - Birth Attendant / Doula

Beela has been a treasured ally in our birth team leading up to and during birth and the tender first weeks of new parenthood. She brings equal measures of common sense and soul sense. I've been so grateful for her healing bundle of practical support, nurturing care and wise counsel. The cups of tea, heartful chats, foot massages, cuddling my little one to allow me to rest, helping around the house and organising a meal train (and many other gifts in-between) has made me feel so cherished throughout this immense time. Beela is an absolute treasure for new parents!

Beela was our wonderful doula for our first birth. She was an amazing suppourt for both myself and my partner. During pregnancy she provided calm and consistent suppourt, always listening and responding to our questions with compassion and invaluable knowledge. At the birth Beela maintained her beautiful centering energy and made both my partner and I feel safe, secure and nurtured. We are expecting our second child next year and looking forward to having the gorgeous Beela by our side again.

Beela was a grounding and supportive presence throughout my pregnancy. She’s generous and calming and inclusive of the whole family, making space (often on her lap or in the foot bath) for our five year year old to feel welcome and important. She’s knowledgeable about both home and hospital birth contexts. It was reassuring to have her talk through what to expect of the hospital process when our situation changed and it was unlikely that we’d be able to follow the birth plan we’d hoped for. She was responsive and communicative throughout and always a delight to have visit. During labour she was calm and committed and I was relieved to have her with us. I fully recommend her as a beautiful human and doula - we feel lucky to have had her as our birth guide!

Beela is an incredible support around birth and I cannot recommend her services enough. We would absolutely not have had the positive, low intervention hospital birth that we had, without her on our team. We had 4 antenatal appointments, and I found this really valuable to establish a relationship before we went into birth. She was incredibly respectful and worked so well with both me and my partner. She is an absolute gem.

I would highly recommend Beela’s support to anyone. She provided rock-solid, heart-filled support for us in pregnancy, birth and postpartum. Beela has a beautiful calming strength and fantastic knowledge that she brings to her work. She helped us in so many ways by providing practical, emotional and physical support for us during the birth of our first child. We birthed in the hospital system and benefited greatly from her knowledge. The positive influence she had over this important time in our lives is immense. My husband and I have agreed it is the best investment we have ever made.

Beela is an amazing doula, who is committed to supporting women to achieve the best birthing experience possible. She is warm, thoughtful, and organised, with a wealth of experience in pregnancy and birthing to share.Her depth of knowledge is evident when assisting with obstetric appointment preparation, and birth plan writing.She goes above and beyond to get to know you and your family, including everyone in the process (even the toddler!).I really enjoyed working with Beela, and deeply appreciate her dedication to women-centred care and belief in what our bodies are capable of.
