I've taken my Land Rover Defender to Pickards a few times. Michael and the team do excellent work. Fast, reliable and efficient.They're also happy to talk through they're plans and what they have done to the car- great if you want to learn more about your vehicle.

The new management team at Pickards was great. Friendly, helpful and realistic with their quote. They kept me informed when they came across something that they hadn't anticipated and were much more reasonable in price than when I was having my service done at the dealership.Thanks boys. I'll definitely be back for my service next year!

I was recommended to use Pickards to undertake a RWC for a Land Rover Series 3 I had just purchased.After dropping the car off I didnt hear anything from David for almost 3 months even after constant txt messages and calls. When I collected the car he said the invoice was not ready but as I was desperate to take possession and so I paid $5,000 for the work (which was to be invoiced and itemised)It has now been another 2.5 months and still no paperwork.I would not like anyone to go through my experience, this business may be competant (i am not sure yet) but their care for their customers experience is non existent. I was very patient and considerate, but I continue to be ignored.One Star for the expensive car storage.Go somewhere else!

Tried to book a service using their on/line process and when I received no response I rang and left a phone message referring to the on/line booking I made and a request if they could call me to confirm availability. IAfter three days I received no responses to either the online booking or the voice mail I left. I then went through the reviews and noticed numerous similar experiences. That tells me they are either hopeless or don't care which translates to would you entrust your very expensive vehicle to them to service. So at short notice yesterday I made an online booking for a service with Cox Automotive in South Melbourne. Instant response by text message saying they had a timeslot. Arived at Cox Automotive this morning. Very friendly highly organised middle aged chap greeted me. Had the booking details etc in his hand to just reconfirm and then asked if there was anything else I might require attending to. Workshop immaculate, staff middle aged and experienced. Service brilliant.

Great mechanic for Range Rover. Very fast service, pricing is fair and reasonable. Will bring my L320 Supercharged back.

Hard to find a mechanic with good staff at the moment thanks to Covid, it’s been a rough 2 years.Pickards fixed my front end for a RWC for my Range Rover, Dave knows his stuff, explains all the requirements and got the job done in good time.Very detailed invoice showing all labour and material so happy customer.

Although my car was serviced fine my main issue I took the car in for was not attended to and I was strung along for 2 weeks on a repair which was a priority to be fixed with my car. I called up 6 times to check in and never got an update even when I was told it would be ready I wouldn't even get a call to say it wasn't ready yet. I can appreciate you are a busy and short staffed but don't string people along I could have arranged a hire care rather than spending hundreds on ubers and public transport. I now have a car which still has a fault and wasted two weeks of my time. If you can't do something at least give a date or communicate with your customers where you are up to.

There aren’t many places that can service classic cars, but David and his team at Pickards Automotive does it best. If you have the option of servicing your beloved ride anywhere, Pickards Automotive is the way to go.
