Ballarat Indian Restaurant
We ordered online via the restaurant website, which was a smooth enough process. The restaurant quickly rang back to say they didn't have any lamb for the two lamb dishes we had ordered. I asked to change to beef. No beef they said, only chicken or seafood. Really? So we changed to chicken, which now meant 5 of 6 main dishes were chicken. Not great, but anyway. They didn't offer a refund of the price difference, and when I suggested they could throw in some papadums, I thought that given we ordered 6 main dishes, plus bread, rice etc, that they might be a little more generous than 2 papadums. As for the food once it arrived (over an hour later) - tasty enough, but a lot of sauce and not a lot of chicken. Not an experience I'd repeat if I ever went back to Ballarat.

From a dine-in experience, this place is fine. Food is nice, service is friendly and laid back - those who like to be waited on non-stop will be disappointed, but for a relaxed dine-in experience it's fine.Where they lose stars is with their delivery service - expect to wait AT LEAST one hour, often 1.5 hours only to receive warm (at best) food.Our most recent delivery experience was waiting 1.5 hours for cold food that had leaked in the containers and the one curry that was requested to be extra extra hot" was definitely not - exactly the same heat as the second "mild" curry we had delivered.The family who own and run this business are lovely

We loved our meal on a warm Tuesday evening in the quiet, cool dining room at Ballarat Indian Restaurant in Golden Point near Sovereign Hill. Lovely friendly service. Given water and papadum while we decided on our order. Methi Chicken and Eggplant curry were delicious. Plenty of off street parking behind the restaurant via the drive way

it was a very cold day and we were served by hot food really quickly with amazing portion and taste curries and naan !! garlic naan was really good esp if you are a big garlic fan, $60-70 feed four adults and honestly one of the best indian food place i ever had. the owner and staff are super nice with big smile and very appreciative. highly recommend if you are in the area !!!i also saw some bad reviews after having this place and leaving the comments above , not sure about why but i guess maybe is not authethic enough ? as some people commented the briyani is not briyani cos is just rice with sauce but me and my family enjoyed it and the whole dining experience was really good to us !!

Disgusting manager, I was delivered a wrong order.She refused to send me another delivery out.Putrid the way she spoke to me. I would never go back.The manger sounded 15, clearly had no customer service skills or how to run a restaurant

Great tasting food. No lamb available until later when we visited which limited ordering options even though it was 6pm. Good prices and serving sizes
