Zen Dog behaviour

I can’t recommend Carolyn highly enough. She worked with us and our 2 year old Westie, Maggie, to address a number of behaviours including: barking (at people, dogs and the TV), jumping up on guests, general lack of manners, impatience reactivity, and constantly stopping to sniff on walks (it was such slow going, we would cover hardly any ground).We got so much out of each session and the remote support you get with the packages is fantastic, I really recommend it. We were able to check things with Carolyn in between training sessions rather than having to go over what we learnt the previous session. Super helpful.The change we’ve seen in Maggie has been amazing. In every aspect she has improved drastically. My husband and I are still amazed by how much we love walking her now! Even in areas we didn’t specifically address she’s improved, as Carolyn helped us to ensure we are meeting all of her needs so now Maggie is so much more balanced, chilled out and happy. All of our family and friends have also noticed the change.I love Carolyn’s balanced approach to training. It was exactly what was needed for Maggie who is a small dog with a lot of character. Carolyn’s approach throughout is consultative, logical and considered.Carolyn is a lovely and warm individual who communicates training concepts and ideas really well. My only regret is that we didn’t find her a year ago. Thanks so much for everything Carolyn!

Carolyn was fantastic, I would highly recommend her services to anyone who is in need of a lifestyle balance. Whilst we attended (and graduated!) traditional puppy school when our 7 year old Staffy was younger, Carolyn’s approach is incomparable. Turns out you CAN teach an old dog new tricks - or in our case teach our 7 year old high energy Staffy how to self regulate, walk nicely on a leash and be less demanding overall. Carolyn was outstanding, not only did she provide us with the tools to guide Billies behaviour in a more positive way, but was also incredibly understanding of our lifestyle. With two little humans in tow, Carolyn was flexible in her approach (no cookie cutter plan here!). Instead, she paid attention to what homework tasks were actually achievable for our individual family needs, as well as including tasks that involved our highly curious toddler - it was a joy to see my toddler connect with our dog on a deeper level! In 6 short sessions, Billie’s behaviour has improved drastically. Walks and outings are much more pleasant with a calmer dog. We still have a while to go but Carolyn has equipped us with some lifelong skills that we will continue to implement. Thank you Carolyn for you kind, caring nature, guidance and expertise! :)

Nothing less than 5 stars! We had 6 one on one sessions with Carolyn to help us bring out the best in our pup Odin. Each session was structured toward our needs, and went for as long as they needed to. Communication between sessions via WhatsApp was also incredibly helpful. Carolyn goes above and beyond for her clients, a great trainer and all round great person! We will be seeking Carolyn's guidance in the future when the inevitable troublesome teen time rolls around!

Carolyn was amazing!She was super helpful to myself and my dog Frankie, we learnt a lot in the 3 sessions we had her and we put a lot of effort in with our homework. Frankie has improved so much in the last 3 weeks - Frankie is much calmer, we have routine, and I am no longer freaking out to take her for a walk.We can’t thank Carolyn enough ❤️

I feel incredibly lucky to have heard about Carolyn and engage with her for the past couple of months to work with our beloved Goldens, Iris (5 years) and Daphne (now 5 months). Iris now walks on leash like a dream and littleDaphne has delightful door manners, a stellar recall and is no longer looting socks and other ‘puppy treasures’ around the house. We still have delightful dogs with beautiful personalities, and now there is added harmony in the home. Carolyn gives practical, clever advice and there wasn’t anything that I felt unable to achieve. Both myself, Iris and Daphne will miss seeing her each week! Thank you Carolyn!

Carolyn from Zen Dog Behaviour was such a pleasure to deal with. With her 20 year plus experience she immediately knew how to structure a plan for our puppy to learn and grow with the right behaviours. Carolyn is an amazing dog trainer and I would highly recommend having a chat with her as she is quite knowledgeable and will know how to approach any dog.

Carolyn was fantastic with our Vizsla puppy Hugo and her approach was easy to follow and duplicate after training sessions. Carolyn helped us have confidence in our own training and showed us so much in each session. We've been able to improve command responsiveness, walking on a loose leash, sitting at doorways, staying off the sofa and giving Hugo confidence to be alone. Carolyn is very personable, clearly loves dogs and is passionate about improving the relationship between you and your dog through training!

For the last few months we have had 6 sessions with Carolyn to help us train our 5-month old pup, Odin. This help has been tremendously eye opening and beneficial in navigating his puppy faze. Carolyn is a very patient and lovely person, who has been a pleasure to work with. I would recommend her to anyone needing guidance in training their fury friends.

Carolyn is a wealth of knowledge for training our dogs. She’s taught us some valuable tools and helped us to better understand how we can improve good behaviours and discourage poor ones.Carolyn is very friendly and will take her time to work with you in a stress free way. I've just completed a 4 week course with Carolyn with my dog Rocky. I found Carolyn exceptionally good at what she does and such a lovely person too. She taught us dog manners walking through doors and loose leash walking which is so much better than Rocky taking me for a walk!! She explained things in a way you understood and why it was important. She was kind and patient and would explain what Rocky would be thinking at different times when we either reacted or didn't react to certain things. It was a great benefit too in having her come to our house to see how he acted at home. We have seen a great improvement with Rocky and could not recommend Carolyn more highly.
