Doesn't get any worse then this. Stay away!Unfortunately my personal experience with the company was not great. In 2018 They placed a logger on my fence and took some noise measurements and they also created an Acoustic Report but turned out the report had some technical errors and as such not good enough for legal proceedings. So it had to be rewritten and a second report was submitted. I am kind of a naive person and initially didn't check the report thoroughly but later turned out it had some acoustic errors. For example a sound logger was not placed where it should have been placed because of a radio that was playing music at that location. Later found out that the music from the radio should also be logged. Second issue was raised that some sounds should be measured using dB(C) not dB(A) and that would be the case regarding the music from the radio too. Imagine playing the Beatles Come Together song measuring it with the dB(A) filter. There ware even bigger problems, weekday noise limits ware used for Sunday. The noise limits for Sunday are not the same as weekdays noise limits. The formula to calculate the Noise level was incomplete resulted with compliance by 1 (one) dB(A) but when using the full complete formula as it should be used, it turns out, that the noise level exceeds the recommended limits by 2 (two) dB(A). So that makes a huge difference, compliant or not compliant and that is the whole reason to conduct the Acoustic Test. So anyway, some important clarifications ware required. The attenuation noise barriers based on the noise levels are also calculated incorrectly. So instead of clarifying why using an incomplete formula and why using Weekday limits for a Sunday and some other issues, the company conducted a new acoustic test and generated a new, now third Acoustic Report. Now we dealing with two Acoustic tests and three Acoustic reports a total of about 70 pages of highly technical material. So I become suspicious how can the company get it so wrong, after all they advertising to have more then 34 years of exp. and the staff are members of the Australian Acoustics Society (AAS). Well it turned out that the company has less then 33 years of exp. (The registration was cancelled from 15/12/1998 to 21/03/2000) and also turns out that some of the staff are in fact not AAS members and the person that did the proof reading of the Acoustic reports is a GRADUATE member of the AAS, what does that mean is that ''Graduate members are qualified but lack practical experience working in acoustics''. - So that was my personal experience with Audiometric & Acoustic Services also known as Noiseconsult. On the other side, they very polite, even I shall say too polite, too good to be true, perhaps they have too many things to hide, what the company was doing while the registration was cancelled and why the registration was cancelled anyway. Verbal communication wasn't the best either, they guy could be a bit confused, once said 9 millimetre instead of 9 metre, had to be asked to clarify, no confident eye contact, not speaking up. I would think as an Expert Witness, a better eye contact, a more confident speech, less technical errors would be expected

Highly recommended! These guys turned around a report for us as part of our DA application. Their work is thorough and to a very high standard, while their prices are very reasonable. It couldn't have been a smoother transaction!

My partner and I bought off the plan and had numerous issues with the builder thereafter regarding noise transference from the apartment above, hearing toilets flushing and footsteps at all hours. The engineer at A&AS tested and wrote a report for us to take to the builder and get everything fixed. The whole process was made easy as we felt they spent a little extra time explaining the complexities of the building codes and the nature of the noise results. Would highly recommend.
