This was one of the most under estimated experiences I have had. Make sure you book the tour the guides ate amazing. I would recommend this tour. Thank you all the 300000 people who came to Australia via this camp to enrich our country

WOW - what an amazing story this place has - first an army camp for WW2 recruit training, then a camp for Euro-migrants coming to AUS on the 10 pound pom" schemes that existed upto 1972. Absolutely fascinating - allow 2 hours"

So much to see and learn about our early Immigrants and how the different nationalities all blended in to the new country they just arrived in... Greeks Italians the Dutch etc.. Great displays... Stories and very knowledgeable staff. Anyone who had ancestors go to one of these camps should take a look and to anyone else really worth a stop over.. Some really great reading.. From their travels to get here to old family recipes. It's just a short drive out of Wodonga on the way to the Hume Dam Wall.

Why why why were migrants treated this way?Left their war torn countries only to be taken from station pier port Melbourne to another concentration camp.So sad!!!We all talk about the good migrants brought to our beautiful country but where's the apology???Some things will never truly change regretfully.
