Watch your kids. This is what they are forcing our kids to read in Australia. We have rights not to believe in homosexuality as it is haram (prohibited) in our religion.

Nice library.Clean tidy place latest novals and magazines 2 pick from computers are update with the latest windows system all in all go check it out. Still a stand out for that book your looking for. Or just a quiet time with a book to read. The library is now celebrating 75th birthday with pictures from the past and history of how it started. Take a look at what's on show.

I moved in Roselands recently from Blacktown. This morning I went to the library to see how it looks like. The lady at the reception was exceptionally welcoming with helping mindset. I instantly became member upon her pursuasion. Membership facility is valid for nine libraries in canterbury-Bankstown. Very calm and quiet atmosphere. But membrs need to be patience, as it's a small library, you can't expect to get reading materials as you desire.

This library is the best place in the neighborhood. The staff are very helpful even on the phone. I called them to ask for a service and the nice lady gave me a list of all available providers in the surrounding area with addresses and contact numbers. In my first visit to the library, I had a new library card issued for me in few minutes while we were exploring kids books. I was not planning to ask for a new card in this visit but the staff were professional and helpful. The nice lady took us for a quick tour and showed us around explaining any inquiries we had. The helpful gentleman assisted me printing out my documents that I needed urgently. I like this library and I love the welcoming atmosphere once we walk in. One of my visits was 15 minutes before the library closes and the staff were welcoming and they were assisting me with a smile as if they have just started their working day. They deserve all the gratitude for their amazing work. They encouraged my kid to visit the library.

Lakemba Library is a fantastic place, the best I've ever seen in years; neat, clean, organised and a warm place to spend some time reading, looking for a book or borrowing. The staff are amazing; they are professional, kind, friendly, helpful, and supportive. I'm genuinely grateful for having such a spectacular library in Lakemba.

It’s funny on how the librarian told the kids in kids zone to stay quiet, even with 18 month old baby. My kid is 2,5 yo was just talking about how he amazed with the library. She then said “there is someone noisy here”. Then get rid of KIDS ZONE if you you don’t allow have any noise at all from kids bubbling reading a book. At the end kids will never like going to library and hence detach themselves from the books.

Visited today and I suggest you to never go around 3 -6 when kids are there. Kids there aren't there for studying but chit-chat. Also the librarian formed a group of 3 and talked outloud for more than 20 mins. The facility is very small and you are able to hear every single word they say and this was very very unpleasent. IF YOU ARE A STUDENT SERIOUS ABOUT STUDIES WHICH ALL OF YOU ARE WHEN YOU GO TO A DAMN LIBRARY DONT GO TO THIS LIBRARY UNLESS IT IS AFTER 5 PM OR the weekends. It's just called a library and doesn't function as one at least for today.

Was not very happy with my experience at Lakemba library today. (11/09/2020). First of all, the staff were not very reasonable with me. A lady approached me because I was listening in on an online class with earphones in. I whispered in response to my lecturer once, and she scolded me for it. When another man walked in earlier, he was speaking louder than I was disrupting my work and no one said anything to him.Secondly, the bandwidth is TERRIBLE. I don't know why I bothered to come to the library (the closest library to me) when the internet doesn't even work! I was the only person in the library and my internet was terribly slow. A lot of improvements need to be made. I am not usually one to critique, but my experience today wasn't the best at all.The only positive is that they extended visiting hours from 2 hours to 3.
