Paolos Pizza Bar
We were craving authentic Italian food and were hoping we'd find it while visiting Hervey Bay. Thankfully we walked into Paolos (the smell of garlic wafting through the air as we were walking to the restaurant made us confident that we were making a good decision!). The pizza was immensely good, the dough was perfection and it was fun watching the chefs throw the pizza dough into the air while we were sitting at our table. The gnocci was just as good too. Very happy, if you're looking for Italian food like they do in Italy, do yourself the favour and come here!

My partner and I just moved to Hervey Bay and we decided on having Italian on one of our first nights. We both are vegan and we googled restaurants with vegan options and Paolo’s came up! So we thought we’d give it a try.I ordered the La Vegana pizza and my partner ordered a pasta based dish. The staff were very friendly and the food was prepared quite quickly. But when we took our first bite, wow! Probably one of the best, most flavourful pizzas I’ve had! The crust was very fresh, the mushrooms were of great quality and the vegan mozzarella was delicious too!My partner said her pasta dish was incredible as well very high quality and tasted very fresh!And the best part, we came back a week later to have it again, worried that it may not be as good as the first time.. but it really was! We ordered the same thing and it tasted just as good as the first time! The staff were very friendly again and when asked if we wanted any dessert they were very helpful showing us the vegan options.We will definitely make Paolo’s a regular eating place for us! (Ps. If we heard right, the chef is vegan as well? If so we will have peace of mind that our food will always be cooked right as not everyone always cares and puts non-vegan ingredients in with no remorse).Thank you Paolo’s for some amazing food and a new regular place for us to eat! See you next week!

Delicious pizza and pasta. The extra chilli oil definitely has a kick to it! Italian hot chocolate was thick and rich. Tiramisu was great too. Would definitely recommend.

Had a pizza there tonight. The chicken was pretty dry and didn't have much flavour.I also would recommend you allow your customers to add toppings to their pizzas, (for an extra cost)As we wanted to add prawns to ours.The waitress went and ask the kitchen after saying to us yeah we can do that. Then came back and said no you can't add toppings sorry.Which was a little annoying.

If you are visitors like us, look no further folks.We were there last night on Sun 5th Feb 2023 and had one the best pizzas & pasta ever. We want to spread the message to the owner that the slender, fit sporty girl that provided us the service was amazing and deserves a pay rise for sure. Amazing place, amazing staff, amazing service.Thank You So Much,Mark & Emma

Seems like the place is going down the hill. First just read the Owners replies for people on Google reviews.Walked in tonight with my wife and two kids. Asked their entrée pizza for the kids as they like garlic bread and that would be enough for them as dinner. Asked for a 25 dollars pizza for myself and another 23,50$ for my wife. We didn’t order drinks at first because we would wait for pizzas and we where very clear to bring all pizzas and entree together as the kids would have the entree.Waitress had an attitude as we didn’t ask for drinks at first and also asked for entree for the kiddos. Which is actually more expensive then kids pizza. Anyways… she maybe thought we were there to waste her time. Even after ordering equivalent to 70$ just for food and drinks after would be about 90 to 100$ bill.Waitress placed the order of entree only and waited my kids to finish the entree then she could bother to send our pizzas to kitchen. As my kids took about 20 minutes to eat plus the 15 minutes we were already waiting before the entree we sit there for 35 minutes to get to know our pizza were not cooking or even being prepared yet.We were very clear on the instructions but it looks like the Karen waitress was too angry to understand a simple message to bring everything together at once.For the owner a bill that would be 100$ to the business came to 16$ and 2 very unhappy customers.Not expecting the owner to apologise as it seems by his comments on Google reviews that everything is customers fault or “customer can never be happy”.I would be happy if I could sit down at your business and have a great time with my family but all we had was frustrating customer service and a hungry tummy.Next time will end up going to La Bella Italia.Unfortunately two less customers for Paolo’s.

Take away pasta, was nice but pasta is so cheap so why not put more pasta in container as well. Make it worth it as was nice sauce but hardly any pasta.
