The Suburban Cellar Door

I absolutely loved this place. For me it was the epitome of what a bar should be like! Firstly the guy running it, who I assume is the owner, was really friendly and engaging and just a really nice guy to talk to; very knowledgeable about the beers and the wines. He also knew his regulars well which is nice to see. We even struck up conversations with a couple of the regulars. A really sociable environment. The beers? We had a couple of great beers on tap and took some more away. All very good. He's only got 6 taps but some sensible procurement means there's going to be something for all tastes. If I didn't live thousands of miles away there is nonway that this wouldn't be on my regular hang out list. Hope they keep doing what they're doing until I can get back

The subtle Suburban Cellar Door is easy to miss, and somewhat discreet. Serving predominantly drinks, the Cellar draws a niche older crowd, and perhaps people who want a more private pub experience.The staff are highly forthcoming, making you feel at home. There appears to be boardgames too, perchance to play whilst drinking. Drinking games. There's a decent band on Friday evenings and the Struman's lager is splendid.

Fantastic local bar with great ambiance. Has a wonderful variety of high quality wines and cocktails that will not disappoint. Adam the owner is very welcoming and accommodating who will make your visit very enjoyable. Such a great spot to meet up with friends and unwind. Fabulous food next door to order from as well. Highly recommended little gem in Moonee Ponds.

One of Moonee Ponds best kept secrets.This place has an amazing atmosphere, great wine and a brilliant collection of craft beer.Adam is so welcoming and clearly his staff enjoy working there too.This is a MUST visit.

Great selection of wine and beers, some really cool niche labels that I have purchased as presents with the help of the amazingly knowledgeable staff, you can tell they are passionate about what they do. Awesome vibes on the weekend with great music and drinks on point, hoping to to hire it out for my Birthday if its not already booked out!!

My favourite bar in the world... Ashlyn and cane Are the best! You must try their pale ale of the month and their Pinot...

The best place for a party in Moonee Ponds! Can not thank Adam and the team more for making my birthday such a fun and carefree night. I booked the whole venue with around 50 people – the service was impeccable, nothing was too much trouble and food organised via Suburban Cellar Door from Bar Sar next door was delicious. Highly recommend for anyone looking to host an event.
