Breakfast Brunch was our desire & we didn't have a booking. They got us seated on the window overlooking the ocean, providing we could order & eat in 50 minutes . We had trouble finding the Cafe as it was right on the beach & almost below the road level. It was 11.30 am & we were hungry, the time was not a problem. The food was very tasty, the Coffee was great & the staff very friendly & helpful. The only problem was parking, it was school hols & a nice day so the car park was full of cafe patrons & surfers & families. We got a park 2nd attempt around.

Found this lovely little cafe today via a Hunter Hunter search and what a gem. Lived in Newcastle for almost 30 years and never been to this beautiful spot.Managed to grab a lovely table right on the outside with an amazing view. Ordered food and drinks online which arrived in no time at all.Had the tasting platter for two and it was really nice. Not out of this world but it's a cafe not a restaurant. The grilled fish , brisket sliders and noodle salad was a standout.Overall a lovely lunch. One of the main reasons for trying this place was due to the comments from the owner about the 1 star reviews. They are priceless and I would have loved to have meet the owner to congratulate them on their frank honesty. More places should be like this!

Sensational. Food was fab. Atmosphere was great. The view is spectacular. What a great gem this place is! Book ahead though it's a busy place. Prepare to wait for food. Worth it all though.

You cannot put a price on the view, was absolutely stunning!The fish and chips was ok, but the fish of the day was amazing!! We had watermelon and strawberries frappe which was great and refreshing.

Not one to normally leave reviews but thoroughly enjoyed our meal here at Crest. Food was delicious, great vibe and it is surrounded by such a beautiful view. What more can you ask for. It was a busy Sunday afternoon but food service was prompt. We also brought our dog along and very luckily managed to secure a table next to the window where he could be left. (You cannot bring your pet into the restaurant). Will return again next time if we are in the area!

Went on a Friday but still had trouble getting a carpark so had to park down a level where the camel rides start. I wouldn't recommend parking there for anyone with mobility issues as it may be a struggle walking up to the cafe. Excellent view so was glad my sister booked a table seat where we had great viewing of the whales and camels. We ordered the Garlic Bread with Cheese and Bacon which was delicious. My sister had the Fettuccine with Mushroom and added chicken. I had the Lamb Kofta which was a little dry so I was surprised that some of the mince was still a bit pink on the inside. There was a sign near the door that said you had 80 minutes from the time of your booking to stay at your table. ( I think this is a great idea so others can get to experience dining here as well. ) No complaints about the service.
