The Louise

Was a surprise trip away for my birthday. Everything was perfect, the best staff & service, food & drinks were incredible. They created amazing vegan dishes for myself. The room was very clean, beautifully set out. Even woke up to a peacock in our courtyard on the last morning, which was special. All the little touches were appreciated, like they remembered by partner liked having an extra crumpet, i ordered soy milk with my breakfast cappuccino & so they added soy milk to our bar fridge. The scent they put on before we returned to the villa for the night. Beautiful weekend, the best weekend! Thankyou.

We spent 2 nights at The Louise for our 20 year wedding anniversary. The suite, the meals, the pool, the staff indeed everything was magnificent and was a fitting celebration for us. Thank you.

Very mixed feeling.The good points:- The rooms are awesome.- The location is great.-Generally the staff is great (Simone, Sky etc).- Facilities (pool, gym etc) are great.The bad points:- I asked on the phone 2 bookings at the Apellation restaurant and when we arrived for diner it was only the snack/bar as the restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday.- The waiter (maie with long hairs) laught about our situation behind our back.- The next day, when I ordered the breakfast, the receptionist (Nathan) clearly implied that I was lying and that 2 weeks ago when I booked the restaurant he told me that it was closed.I would never have booked the snack-bar as it was a diner for my admission to the legal profession.- The same day I crossed him, he acted as if I was not there.To excuse for these problems they offered us a bottle of Champagne.Overall, I might come back but they should think about some of there staff that are snobby and clearly lack some good manners towards clients.

Lovely setting and warmth best enjoyed during the daylight hours, but still very pleasant after dark.The food is excellent and they were happy to adjust the menu for dietary reasons.Staff were friendly, professional and helpful.

What an outstanding resort. It was a dream to finally enjoy a weekend at The Louise. It exceeded my expectations on so many levels. The Yalumba experience for the launch of The Caley was exceptional. With Chef Mark Godbeer cooking up a storm to match each wine and each wine matching each meal. What a treat.

A fabulous hotel. The restaurant (Appellation) is beautiful, with great views and menu. The rooms are vast and beautiful. Love the outdoor shower and immensely large bath! The pool is warm and the loungers comfy!

Everything from start finish is fabulous and welcoming. The staff, especially Simone was so lovely and knowledgeable all of her recommendations were spot on. The suite was lovely and super comfortable. They. catered to my dietary (coeliac and nut free) without an issue or limiting me to anything. I can hardly wait to come back.

The service was amazing. Greeted as we arrived and all bookings arranged for dinner. The food was excellent. Lovely to come back to the room greeted with a boiled kettle and tea in the pot ready for you. We woke up late on our last day but breakfast was served just the same with only us in the breakfast room. Service equal to any top accommodation in the world that we have stayed. Thankyou Thankyou for making the last four days absolutely relaxing and all in SA. Who needs to go anywhere else!

Last minute stopover at The Louise joined by dinner in Appellation was so memorable and completely devine. Picture perfect. I could live forever in the those villas. Sky, Connie & Nathan were very warm hosts. Can’t wait to return!

A great stay at The Louise. Rooms were very comfy, once mastering the fireplace. The food was outstanding and very filling. Point to note you can eat in both restaurants, and don't have to just have the 5 courses every night. Wish we knew as the other menu looks just as fantastic... the staff were extremely patient and caring.Highly recommended.
