Salvos Stores Hoppers Crossing

I use to shop here often but found the prices are quite high now. Nearly as much as brand new items. The staff are wonderful and have been friendly. I go for everything and anything. If i go there with $20- $50 i probably wouldn't come out with much, maybe a nice cardigan.They have good stuff,i just cant justify spending marked price, for seconds most the time. I.e a small pot (nothing flash) is marked like $12 without a lid. Babies clothing from $3 to $15 for seconds. I've found another place - seconds, bonds baby clothes for 50cents to $2. Thats reasonable considering someone has worn the items already.

Staff are generally great help but the prices are what stopped me coming here, big chain op shops are becoming premium reseller shops" pricing from ebay resellers when they get all of this for free and the people suffering from the cost of living wouldn't even be able to afford a new jacket for the winter! its a shame to hear people walking out of the shop saying kmart is cheaper and i agree."

I love this store, nearly always find a bargain when I go there. Such as this shot glass from the now defunct Draculas theatre restaurant.

Visited here not long back. Good range if goods at reasonable prices. Most goods taken when donated but there is a sign outside if not takibg certain iitems (provably depending on their stock at the time). Worth a look.

There’s lots of used products and some are new. Some are the staffs are friendly others not so much. The lady told me, You can become a member here if you are regular and every $100 purchased you will get $5 for the next purchase

I went to salvos stores hoppers crossing today and donated a bunch of stuff including baby socks, toys, and books. The staff member supervising me donating was very friendly and was willing for me to say what I was donating. Went inside the store and saw that despite their green tag clothes went half price, some of their clothes were really expensive. I even saw a jacket my size for $13 which is about the same price as what you can get brand new from Kmart or BigW. I thought clothes were supposed to be cheap in an op shop but some was cheap. Very inconsistent pricing with clothes, but the furniture section seemed to have declined with stock compared to the last time I went to this op shop around 2 years ago. Luckily I got some a four pack of highlighters for $4 (1 dollar per highlighter) which for the brand I got would be valued at $8 from office works.Great stock with clothes, but limited furniture. I wonder why there's so much clothes? Because the pricing is too inconsistent. However besides the clothing sales, the prices are good.

My partner and I visited this store for our first time in February and we have never been to an OP shop before this. Honestly we were impressed. We got a whole dining table and 6 chairs for under $200

They dont pick up the phone!!! Expecting a delivery 2-4pm been calling them for an hour they dont answer the phone!!

Salvos has lots of second hand things like toys and clothing but the best thing was the old, retro DVD’s arranged like a library at the back of the shop with furniture crowding it but the best part was the value of the DVD’s and the prices were like $1 and $2 for these insane retro DVD’s.There was also a library of books stacked in the corner dusting up.Pokémon was the real reason I went to these shops but they didn’t have any so I gave up but the lady at the register said there was some maybe in the BACK...

The people are very very nice here and help you with all your queries.Good way of recycling and making earth a better place to live.
