We moved to Northern NSW in 2009 and after buying and selling a couple of properties we settled on a property in Fingal Head in 2016, this was the first property that we knew we would need help in the form of an Architect to finalise the design and layout.We found Burleigh Beach Design (Brett and Simone McDonald) via Google (and Facebook) and reached out to them for help. My wife and I were impressed by the way they approached and delivered their introduction to us and the flexibility into delivering what services we would need/require to fit our budget (Yes we had a Budget).Brett and Simone presented us with a very detailed proposal and breakdown from initial sketch design through to building approval giving us good visibility of all the steps in the process.Burleigh Beach Design was chosen as our preferred candidate after that initial meeting and from their previous experience in residential design.Since engaging Burleigh Beach Design, we met with Brett and Simone weekly for a period of time to go through the design and to 'flush' out our ideas and how we could incorporate them into the design brief that we had agreed on. To specifically mention Burleigh Beach Design's strongest attribute is that both Brett and Simone will design so that everything 'flows' and connects. I know the previous statement may be an easy thing to say but with building design having an intimate knowledge in cost control, material selection and product placement is second bar none and experience is absolutely vital in achieving this outcome. My wife and I couldnt have been happier in the final design. Overall the design experience has been very interactive and they always responded positively to our input.We’ve found the 3D modelling and Virtual Reality tours particularly beneficial in allowing us to experience and understand the design.My wife and I have no hesitation in recommending Burleigh Beach Design to others looking for an Architect who will provide attentive service and outstanding design results.

My partner Sean and I engaged BBD initially for our bathroom and laundry renovations in 2020. We are now completing a larger renovation and were very pleased with their professionalism, courtesy and overall service. Being a smaller company they provide insightful personalised service.Our home is approaching 40 years old and we were very happy with how they were able to retrofit our existing dwelling, and all of its shortfalls into a stunning open space design without compromising our budget expectations. We are looking forward to the final product which will be completed at the end of the year.

Brett was the architect behind our home renovation in 2015. His ideas were invaluable and allowed us to achieve results neither of us imagined. In addition to his architectural services, Brett was able to accurately cost our project and help us select a reputable, reliable builder. His plans were so well resolved that there were very few questions from the builder throughout the construction process. On the odd occasions there were questions, Brett would quickly arrive on site to answer them. He was also sensitive to cost control and came up with numerous ways to save money while still achieving an excellent result. Overall, a pleasure to work with and one of the best investments you will make.

Burleigh Beach Designs was the architectural company chosen to re-design living and accomodation space at our house in Currumbin Waters. A second floor and balcony were designed to provide seperate accomodation within the one dwelling for grandma who frequently visits from interstate. The outcome was great as the new spaces created well catered for client requests for living spaces that were light filled and took advantage of Queensland breezes. We couldn’t be happier.
