Legitimate criticism here, why can't another gas other then CO2 be used to kill the animals? CO2 literally activates the amygdala and creates intense pain, panic and fear, not to mention It acidifies the blood stream. If you could somehow induce a hypocapnic (low carbon dioxide) and hypoxic state for these animals. This would be a very peaceful way to die.
