A very fragrant and savoury smell that attracted me to this small place near the station 7 months ago. It wasn’t busy at all for a Sunday lunch peak hour as we were the only ones dining in at that time. Firstly let’s talk about the extensive menu with various items to choose from which took us a while to decide which ones to order. We got the single serve of lechon belly and Bicol express with a cup of plain rice. The items came out quickly after approximately 10 minutes and we could see and smell the delicious fragrant coming right from the open kitchen. The lechon belly has a crispy skin while the meat itself was juicy and well cooked but didn’t dry out a compared to other crispy pork belly that I’ve tasted somewhere else. The vinegary sauce and pickled vegetables came as complimentary condiments really helped bringing out the lechon taste and making every bite so deliciously. The bicol express was creamy with coconut milk and a hint of shrimp paste which makes it quite savoury and went well with plain rice. Staff is friendly and overall I was very satisfied with my first experience today. Will definitely come back to try more dishes next time.P.s: 2nd time coming to the place - ordered garlic fried rice, whole lechon single serve, pork bbq and vegetable pinakbet. A good overall experience as well however I’m missing their homemade sauces from the first time. Now they just use bottled sauce which didn’t really have any uniqueness. All food was good value for money and I actually preferred the lechon belly that I ordered last time than the whole lechon.

Tasty lechon: tender meat, not too fatty, well spiced and seasoned, skin was not crispy but enjoyed it nonetheless (flavour made up for it), nice touch with self-serve sauces. The tortang talong (eggplant omelette) is DELICIOUS with hot plain rice and some soy sauce on the side. A personal favourite. The palabok was nice too (thick rice noodles in a prawn/seafood gravy). I liked the banana fritters but could do without the drizzle of chocolate sauce.Vibe: casual, relaxed ambience, just a few tables, more of a quick-eats takeout joint than a restaurant to take someone on a date. Good option if you’re craving home-style Filo food.

I’m a regular here since the first week they opened up. Great family run restaurant - the owners and chef are friendly and accommodating. Most importantly, the lechon and lechon belly is cooked the ‘traditional’ way and not only is it very delicious but priced reasonably with a generous serving! Their silog meals (Filipino style breakfast) is also a must-try. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Lechon is good but not freshly cooked. Even rice is not freshly cooked. Spicy vinegar is not spicy and a bit too sweet.

This little restaurant is located close to Sydenham station. All the foods that we had were so tasty! We had Palabok, Fried Pork Belly, Ensaladang Talong & Garlic Fried Rice.I will surely back here again soon, as the halo halo and the lechon look so good! The service here is super lovely.

I was not even expecting to dine in around the area, but seeing the menu makes me feel like you know what, I will give this a try.Unexpectedly, it's quite a gem, for someone who loved to eat pork dishes. I have tried filipino food only once, so I couldn't judge much with the authenticity. But nevertheless, I had 2 dishes with one steam rice shared for 2. Lechon Sisig and Tortang Talong, it's just simply comfy food and almost felt like home. Lechon sisig with a pork stir fried on a sizzling pot and Tortang talong, the eggplant omelette with onions.Trust me, you will regret not trying the food in this restaurant.

One of the very few times they I have eaten Pilipino food, highlights were the lechon and chorizo! They were very good. The fish was nice but rather small (only the size of a medium sardine), noodle dish was ok but not to my taste) and the tamarind pork belly was not to my taste at all (seem to be missing complexity as it’s was purely a sour soup (unlike Tom yum which has sweet, sour, hot, salty)Value - not that great value, all of these dishes as photographed added to over $100 so not great value with more misses than hits.

We had the opportunity to dine here the other night.LOCATIONThe place is located a short walking distance from Sydenham Train Station. There are also street parking available around the area.VENUESmall and somewhat cozy restaurant. Can probably fit between 15-25 people inside, but anything more than that it'll be too crowded. There is a table or two just outside the main door, It may be used as a an extension for their dine-in option, but I think it'll be too noisy as it's so close to the main road. So perhaps it serves as a waiting area for those take-away orders. The staffs were also friendly.FOOD* Generous servings of garlic fried rice.* The double serve of the lechon belly, was i guess, substantial for 3 people. The lechon is so flavoursome! You can really smell and taste the herbs and spices that was used. The Mang Tomas sauce is self served and can be obtained from their condiments area. I was hoping to have some atchara with the lechon, but we did not get any, nor was it served with the lechon.* Lechon sisig wasn't too bad either.* Pinakbet was on the watery side (as I prefer mine dry), but tasty.* For dessert, we had turon served with 2 scoops of icecream. We might come back again if we are around the area. For us, it was not worth the trek. When we do go back, I'm keen to try the Silog Meals and the Halo Halo.
