I enjoyed a lovely lunch in the Restaurant. Just as well the food was good because despite arriving for an early lunch with few people, the food was a very long time coming. Then we were all but forgotten. I wanted to order a coffee and ended up going up to the bar to order one only to be told that he would send someone to take my order, no-one came! You need more staff! You need to speed up service as not everyone will wait 40 minutes or so to eat. More salad on the plate would have been nice.

Nearby access to the high rise car park is handy when the majority of carparks in Ballarat central are meter or max 2 hour parking. First it was warm which is a bonus on a cold Ballarat day. We were in the garden room for a birthday celebration and there was a good selection of drinks on offer. The venue was big enough for quite a crowd and the food offerings were great. The squid may have been a bit hard to handle but was well worth it and the satay chicken sticks were another winner. I was full by the time the pizzas arrived. Friendly and attentive service made for a great birthday celebration.

This place is alright, nice enough but nothing special. I just had a hot chocolate on my last visit, but I've had meals there in the past too. It's a nice place without being outstanding.

The restaurant staff are all excellent. In particular Finn who is super courteous friendly and provided great recommendations. The menu is good bistro food and caters to all special dietary groups. Dessert options were great with gluten free, small serves with some items. We were so happy with the lunch we booked our next friends catch up for 2 weeks time.

Great staff, hospitable and warm. There were some flies in front of the video projector that kept us entertained with their airshow and sometimes their dancing skills. The food was amazing and the Busienss workshop was very successful. I definitely recommend this wonderful hotel for conferences and workshops (as I haven’t stayed in their rooms so my review is only addressing hosting events and meetings.)

Loved my one-night stay here. A warm welcome, fairly simple but well-equipped room, a hot shower and a lovely dinner. But the reason why I will return is the service. Everyone was extremely pleasant, but both Brett and Stephanie went above and beyond in ensuring I had a comfortable stay - a big thank you to both of you!

The staff are fantastic, providing excellent and friendly service. Food is of consistently high quality and love the atmosphere. Three different areas to sit for general dining and I love that there’s the option for quieter areas when I have the kiddos with me as the oldest one has sensory issues, so struggles with loud environments. Love the coffee, the service and the building. One of my favs!!!

We had a lovely stay at Oscars.The room is quite small with not much room to move. It was all good for 1 night though.Staff were all very friendly and helpful and lovely to deal with.The restaurant area is lovely and the beer garden really nice to sit in and relax.The bed was really comfortable and the room clean.

I have stayed at Oscar’s many times over the past couple of months and each and every stay has been excellent. The staff are efficient, friendly and always go above and beyond. The food is fantastic and so are the rooms. Very modern with comfortable beds. I have stayed in a few other places in Ballarat and I can honestly say Oscar’s is the best in town.

Very disappointing experience to say the least !! We ordered the salt & pepper calamari which was very ordinary, I'm sure it was out of a packet from the supermarket - tasteless !! the salad wasn't anything to rave about, chips were a pass. We also ordered drinks and the lemonade was flat and the coffees were lukewarm after ordering extra hot. I know it's quite hard for venues to retain good staff these days, but general customer service skills I thought would have been a requirement within the hospitality industry. Certainly won't be going back in a hurry, if at all !!
