ABA Lawyers

I had my Will recently done through ABA in what was a far cheaper, more transparent and personable experience than other firms I was looking into. Professional staff were great - up front about the costs and happy to explain all the legal jargon to a mere mortal like me. If I'm ever unfortunate enough to somehow end up in the court system I'll absolutely be going with them again!

Without Andrew and his team, I wouldn't have shared care with my little man and have resolved my divorce case.He is extremely professional and a wealth of knowledge in all matters of Law.I often said going to see Andrew and his team was not only like getting the best legal advice in Australia, but also a Psychology appointment! I always felt like with ABA in my corner, I could win anything (but also be brought down to earth with honest feedback and reality, haha).

Went through ABA Lawyers for the purchase of our family home. Sarah was amazing to deal with and had our back from the first meeting. From signing the contract, which Sarah spotted several errors from the REA to continued support even after our house had settled, we were looked after, kept up to date with issues and was able to explain the process the entire way. We would have been lost and worse off but ABA Lawyers made us feel protected and battled the REA along the whole process! Can not recommend them enough if you are looking to buy in this market!

My experience with Andrew Burrows @ Aba law and his team was on point. True professionals, and in my experience, they do not overcharge and try and rip you off. Andrew is a good person and will take his time to listen and assess your situation. I highly recommend in family law and conveyancing issues.This is not a sponsored review, although wish it was……One thing I asked for, is I wish all these family law, lawyers, barristers and judges will get together and make a gold diggers clause….. this might stop a heap of domestic violence because it just seems the hard work and male gets screwed over.

I've been using Andrew and Sarah over the last 5 years for wills and estate work and also for conveyancing. Previously, I had been seeing another Lawyer for many years however when my mother passed away that Lawyer was unable to help me due to the complexity of my mums estate. As it was a stressful and heart breaking time using ABA Lawyers was a pure relief to me. They were kind and very caring and nothing was to much trouble. I have peace of mind knowing that they are my trusted advisors. I highly recommend them for any legal matters. I have sent 2 different friends to them for family matters and they were thoroughly happy with their services.

AVOID!!!Very poor experience with ABA.Had multiple (expensive!) court appearances fall over due to basic mismanagement. spend huge quantities of money with them achieving very little - they would often not return phone calls and while. They are adequate the basic legal tasks there was no 'strategic direction'Ended up having to do some of the legal work myself (preparing & filing documents, collating court information through court portals etc) as ABA were so 'behind'. They were constantly ignoring my instructions or questions yet were happy to correspond at length with the other party and do other unnecessary (and billable!) things, often spending a lot of time going over old things in meetings at my cost (sometimes including the very expensive barrister too)At one stage I was in court for an interim hearing and ABA were simply not there - they had decided to appear by telephone and hadn't told me or the court so I was left with the judge trying to call them up so they could represent me.I Asked on more than one occasion to have strategy meeting with principal meeting earlier this year but didn't happen.The final straw was 'slam dunk' application on my behalf a few months ago. It was finally a sign of some positive direction in my case however at the hearing it was turned back as ABA had not prepared the application correctlyThis was a hearing with a barrister (expensive!) yet all I got back was a 'sorry' and several thousands of dollars of invoices. At this stage they have ignored my requests to modify the remaining ~$5,000 of invoices and instead have indicated they plan to 'commence proceedings', all while I'm waiting in the legal services commission complaint process.Tl:dr - you know that dodgy used car salesman stereotype?....... yeah...

My partner and I used ABA Lawyers to get our wills in order and I couldn't fault the team. Sarah explained everything and made us feel so comfortable. We look forward to using them again in the future and recommend them to everyone!

I was referred to Andrew and words cannot express how amazing Andrew and his team are. He achieved the best result in a very difficult and stressful family law case. He is very knowledgeable, professional, reliable and with very reasonable rates. I just wished I had engaged with him many years ago after using other expensive and misinformed city lawyers. Could not have asked for a better experience.Booked a session with Andrew to go through my options in a family law matter. Went through my situation, my concerns and my desired outcomes. Spoke to us in a no-nonsense way, explained how it all works and discussed options to move forward.After we decided on a path forward he proceeded with it and got the desired result with a quick turn around.All this and it came in at a very affordable price that I was happy to pay.After using other solicitors previously who have suggested options that would drag the matter out, provoke the most billable hours, and encourage excessive back and forth between parties, it was refreshing to have a solicitor who tells it how it is, and gets the job done.Would happily recommend to anyone I know and while I hope that I do not require his services again in this area, I wouldn't hesitate for a moment to return to Andrew next time.
