FORT ROCK CABIN

My husband and I stayed at Fort Rock Cabin and couldn’t fault a thing.A lovely place to stay when exploring the Blue Mountains. It was close to everything we needed - great food and coffee close by and some of the best bushwalks in the Blue Mountains. The cabin is beautiful and private and we enjoyed relaxing after a long day in front of the fireplace.Ian and Jen were so accommodating and lovely from the get go.Can’t recommend Fort Rock Cabin enough.

We stayed at lovely Fort Rock Cabin for our wedding anniversary weekend away, and could not have been happier! Such a warm and inviting space, the cabin felt very homely and had all the finishing touches. Located a short distance from Blackheath train station and local restaurants and shops, it’s the perfect place to escape to in the mountains. The hosts Jen and Ian couldn’t have been lovelier! We have recommended Fort Rock to our friends already and will definitely be back.

I echo all of the positive comments listed - beautifully appointed cabin that backs onto a 2nd cabin and beautiful home in a very quiet street, west of the railway line in Blackheath and within 200 metres of the Fort Rock (1 - 1.5 hour return with spectacular sunsets) and Porters Pass track/trail head. Selfishly, please keep this place quiet as it will no doubt be an extremely popular place for a few days away from the hustle & bustle.Unbelievably appointed! From the fantastic coffee machine (some beans there but you can also bring your own), the luscious bed & linen to the induction top, Kitchen-Aid pots & beautiful Royal Doulton crockery. This 'cabin' (Fort!) Rocks!!!Will definitely stay again.

A mate and I had the pleasure of staying here for 4 nights for a running event. It's a modern compact home that has all the essentials we need. The coffee machine and wood heater were a hit. Shops are nearby with parking on site. Highly recommend.

If I could give more stars than 5 I would this place was amazing the fresh air and ambiance was amazing I can’t articulate how happy me and my partner were to stay here for my birthday weekend it made it truly special I highly recommend staying here close walk to the shops and nature with a touch of privacy the owners went above and beyond for us even buying a new expensive coffee machine just so we could have one for the weekend (I think the other one broke) for our pleasure the owners went above and beyond for us just to make us happy and comfortable we fell in love with this place it had everything we could want even the blankets were so warm and being able to cuddle on the lounge in front of the fireplace and watch tv or movies was amazing the kitchen was to die for modern big open (I’m a chef and my partner is too so this was great for me and her) this place is perfect for relaxing and recovering any and all stress your body is receiving me and my partner were sad and had a little cry to leave the cabin cause we loved it so much please if you come across this place do not miss your chance to stay here cause if you pass it by it would be a decision that you would regret we will 100% be back

Wonderfully appointed modern, cosy cabin a short walk from Blackheath. Close to beautiful walks and the absolute best of the Blue Mountains. Jen & Ian were fantastic hosts and made my daughter and I most welcome. The log burner did its job perfectly in the wintry weather. Likely to become a wintertime staple.

What a lovely discovery! A really tastefully modern 2-bedroomed house in a quiet part of Blackheath in the Blue Mountains. The cabin is finished to a very high spec with modern interiors. It has a very well equipped kitchen, effective air conditioning and underfloor heating in the bathroom. Visiting in the summer, we had no need to use the log burner but it looks as if it would be very cosy in the winter. Plenty of sheets and towels. Very light and airy. Extremely comfortable bed.The owners, Ian and Jen are delightful people and did everything to make our visit memorable, we were the first people to rent the property. We found that the cabin was within a short distance of delightful walks to Fort Rock and Porter's Pass among others and very near the station to take trains to Lithgow or into Sydney. We hope to revist in the near future when we make it back here from the UK.

Fort Rock was an amazing place to stay during our weekend getaway to the Blue Mountains! The accommodation was spectacular and the owners were very kind. Would highly recommend to anyone travelling to the area!

My wife, two children and I enjoyed a delightful weekend at Fort Rock cabin. The cabin is modern, bright, spotless and very well appointed with everything you need for a relaxing break in the mountains. Fantastic coffee machine, rain shower and log burner, the beds were very comfortable and our kids loved the bunks!Very convenient stroll into Blackheath for fabulous cafes, bakery, book shop, art galleries, and a lovely fruit shop.We would highly recommend Fort Rock cabin, I’m sure we’ll be back!Jen & Ian are lovely hosts too.
