Busy Bees Baldivis South

Every day was a battle getting my son to enter the room at this daycare. The staff were not helpful, and instead sat on the floor, backs to the wall and watched as I struggled to get my son to want to stay in the room - claiming there were not enough staff for them to be able to come help. If he ran away they stayed seated, calling 'come back' and my son's name.At one stage an 'educator' told me off, saying my husband can't 'just leave to go to work, leaving my son in the room after putting his bag down' as they 'don't have the staff to look after him and the others'.They phoned me to remove my son from care more often than not with little explanation, or a sarcastic 'sorry' and mention that it was at the will of the owners.Yes, they have 'work-friendly hours from 6.30am - 6.00pm' - but it was suggested to me that I do not bring my son before 8:30am (I start at 8:00am) in order to 'help the center out'.I was asked to provide them with some things that interested him - under the guise of an inclusive program - that they could use to help keep him motivated and in the room - they rejected them all, handing them back to me saying they cannot use them. When prompted as to why they couldn't keep these things they said they were 'inappropriate' for other children - when I was told they would be only for my son (Halloween, Goosebumps, Nerf colouring pages, etc.).I was told there would be 'educational and behavioural programs' put in place for my son, but nothing came from them.More often than not he came home with cuts, scrapes, and bruises that were not explained or mentioned to me - no incident reports were sighted or mentioned.Staff avoided talking to my husband or I when we came to collect our son.We were told by one of the 'educators' that my son 'makes it very hard for the staff to want to build a relationship with him'. He is four.On the odd occasion that I watched them interact with my son or other children (before they noticed my presence), it was cold, sarcastic, snappy - on one such occasion a child was being yelled at in front of his peers, then by his peers as he was 'bad' before and wasn't allowed to watch Paw Patrol on one of the 'educators' iPad's - since he wouldn't go, none of them could watch until he did - he left crying after the other children yelled at him to go away so that they could watch.I do not believe they are 'embracing world-class educational approaches' of any kind, nor do they seem to understand inclusive or equitable educational practices.

My child loves her Daycare day each week. All the staff are super lovely. Communication at pick up has been Amazing, letting me know what they have been up to throughout the day. Centre is clean and facilities are great.

A beautiful looking place disguising rude behaviour and subpar care. Definitely made to look and seem desirable to new mums but the arrogant staff and the overall holier than thou attitude of this day cares “educators” is beyond off putting. Very glad I moved my child out of their babies room. Was made to feel less than and was spoken to like an idiot my the room leader on multiple occasions.

Great school my daughter loves it

Both my children love Nido Baldivis! My eldest is now school age so does not attend daycare anymore but still talks about how much she misses going. She loves visting the staff when we go to pick up my youngest. All the staff are lovely and welcoming.

Nursery educators come across over worked and tired, I walked in often to find they had far to many children per carer left in the room with the children very distraught.Babies left with toddlers alone if a carer is busy.My daughter came home more then once covered in bites that I had not been told about, was getting phone calls almost daily with a new injury that had occurred.She was away sick very often.She was also placed in an unsafe sleeping space where a serious incident occurred that required medical intervention and investigation and as a result cots had to be replaced.Room leader had shown up to work during did it visibly sick and making jokes.I found they did very little constructive activities aswell as little out side on their completely concreted spaceWhen bringing up my concerns was litterally laughed at.Overall for a new mum it was a very disheartening experience.

Good and friendly service

Amazing centre and fantastic staff. They are always willing to help parents out with extra days if needed due to shift work, and will go the extra mile to try and accommodate and very apologetic if it's full! The facilities are lovely, the outside play area is all new and lots for the children to explore, and the indoor activities are always fun and educational. I especially love that the app is updated daily with the photos of the day and the schedule for the upcoming weeks. The educators are phenomenal, especially Jacinta, Neve and Estella - my daughter loves them and they her, which makes it so comforting leaving her there knowing she is being so well taken care of and treated as if she were their own. My daughter has been there over a year now (started when it was Nido Baldivis South) and cannot fault anything with the service. Thank you all for all you do!!

Very friendly educators always happy to take the time in the morning and afternoon to welcome my kids and tell me about their day apon pickup.After my son had problems with separation anxiety at other centres he has overcome this now after a month of being in busy bees south baldivis

The enrolment and payment process are a JOKE every week “he can start this day etc” and take him there then they say oh the next day for three weeks now what a absolute joke!! They just don’t care at all
