Narrabri Big Sky Caravan Park

Loved this park. We decided to go unpowered with our off road van and had a great spot amongst the gum trees and near the river. The facilities are temporary (waiting on council to sort the permanent ones) but they are better than a lot of other van parks we’ve been in. The managers are new and already making a positive impact. The cabins look clean and tidy, the grounds are well kept and the camp kitchen is excellent

Nice caravan park. Will be lovely when they finish the amenities block. Walking distance to town. A lot to see around the area. Will go back one day.

Brilliant park in all aspects. Wonderful managers. We will come again.

Great location, easy to get to just off the when heading to Parkes from the Newell hwy. Not too much noise, can hear the train, but it's not that close. The sties themselves are drive through. The care takers are lovely at check in. Dog friendly, reasonably large, semi grassed sites. Camp kitchen is HUGE! It includes: pots, pans, plates, cutlery, toaster, fridge and more. Large screen Tv if you're so inclined. Only issue, is the amenities, the usual amemities are I assume being upgraded, but there was no sign. Rather there's portable toilets, which were nothing to write home about. Really, if that's all the issue is, it's a great spot. Little walk to town, but doable.

All the reviews led us to book 2 nights at Narrabri Big Sky Caravan Park during the Easter school holidays. The booking in was easy and the park was tidy. Yes there were temporary amenities as the permanent ones were undergoing renovations. They were clean.We were allocated site 4, which is a drive through site. This park had me feeling very exposed as anyone outside of the park could see in, no shrubs etc just a tall wire fence. We chose not to put our awning out or unpack outdoor equipment like the BBQ, chairs etc as a result.Unfortunately on our 2nd night some lowlife cut the lock on our sons mountain bike and stole it while we slept. Reported it to the park management that morning asking if they had CCTV. No, CCTV. They also informed us that it was the 2nd bike that night stolen. I have also learnt that cars have also been stolen from this park. I think that park management/owners should be upping their security ASAP.We extended our stay an extra night in the hope that the police would find the bike before we left. We were not offered any discount as a courtesy given our reason to stay an extra night

Very disappointing, expensive with not much to offer, facilities very basic we had better and cleaner in free sites.,Christmas not cleaned that day.The camp kitchen was okay but againOnly 2 burners.No Christmas atmosphere, nothing we were sorry we booked for 2 nights.

I’m not 100% sure I’d stay here again… the staff are great. Our site was quite spacious (you need to ask for a large one if you require it)Due to recent floods, the amenities block was closed for renovations and we were provided with three bathroom/toilets for all guests. Wasn’t enough. My husband and I found ourselves waiting till very late at night to shower. One wasn’t cleaned the whole time we were there.This park definitely has potential to be much nicer.

Amenities were X Mining company Porta Loos/ showers, some where out of Order others the Key pads didn't work all of which put extra pressure on the remaining few..WE LEFT
