Spanish Learning Centre

I have been looking for a good teacher to learn basic Spanish and by chance I came across Patricia who teaches her classes at the SLC in Highgate Hill. Her teaching method is very relaxed and easy to follow. She has the ability to share her special way of remembering words, which is a plus for beginners. Also her classes are small and intimate which greatly assists learning. I can highly recommend her and can’t wait for Level 2 classes to start in Feb.

I was a raw beginner in The Spanish language when I started classes with Patricia in 2006, inspired by a forthcoming trip to Argentina and the proximity of her classes.. I enjoyed her classes so much that I returned to her classes after my trip, despite no longer having any particular linguistic goal in mind. I progressed gradually from beginner classes through to the 'advanced' conversation class on Thursday nights, which I have been following now for many years and which are the highlight of my week.. With Patricia's guidance, I have gradually acquired an understanding of the beautiful Spanish language. Our classes are great fun. .. Patricia is gregarious, energetic, organised, highly educated, cultivated, tech savvy, and a super teacher who welcomes her students into her classes with a warmth and generosity that makes it impossible to leave! I recommend her classes without hesitation to anyone wanting to learn Spanish in Brisbane.

Patricia is a fantastic Spanish teacher! Her many years of experience are reflected in her teaching style which is patient, professional and thorough, yet very simple and easy to follow. The classes are informative and also fun and friendly with a relaxed atmosphere. I cannot recommend Patricia and her classes highly enough. Muchas gracias Patricia :)

I love Patricia and the Spanish Learning Centre! I started first term this year in Beginner 2, as I've got a basic handle of the language (which I did in high school!), but am dedicated to becoming conversational. Patricia surpassed all of my expectations! Her classes are priced very well, fun, and engaging. I found I had to stop myself doing the homework on the first night (not even an exaggeration!). Even when my house flooded, I still managed to zoom in to complete my lesson.She's a very patient, kind teacher who is not super pedantic about grammar/pronunciation but is happy to correct in a gentle manner to make sure you're as correct as you can be! Plus, her kitchen always smells amazing (and her dogs are super cute) <3If you want to learn Spanish, definitely come to Patricia's school! I can't wait to go up to Intermediate next term!

Patricia was great at creating structure and helping us making sense of the rules of the Spanish language.I learnt a lot and am excited to continue with her when the next level begins next year.

I'm using my daughter's account to leave a review as I don't have a Gmail account. I have just completed level 1 with Patricia and couldn't be happier. She makes learning easy and fun and I'm looking forward to starting level 2 in July.

I have been learning Spanish with Patricia, she is an awesome teacher. Patricia's teachings are easy to understand and she is very patient with her students. I have completed both the Beginners Level 1 & 2 and I am currently doing the Intermediate and will continue studying Spanish with Patricia. If you want to learn Spanish I recommend learning it with Patricia.
