Man from Snowy River Museum

Thank you for welcoming my father and I to your lovely museum yesterday. The volunteer on duty (sorry did not catch his name) was friendly and knowledgeable and the entry fee of $5 per adult was well worth it. We learnt a great deal not only about Jack Riley but also the history of Corryong and surrounds. Particularly enjoyed the schoolhouse and Iris the jeep exhibits. Visitors just make sure to bring cash as museum was not on eftpos. Ensure you bring enough so at the end of your visit you can buy a souvenir or two from the surprisingly extensive collection. Museum also had easy parking right outside and very clean toilets. Was definitely worth the trip over from Wodonga - highly recommend to all history lovers out there to pay a visit. You'll have a great time and definitely learn something new!

An extensive collection of old stuff . Many old photographs of the surrounding areas and towns and loads of old wares from cameras to medical instruments to household items etc. Also a little bit about the original “ man from snowy river” plus war memorabilia and some old kit from the wartimes. Did I enjoy my experience. It was just OK not at all what I was expecting .

Lovely museum to learn about the local history and a good range of stuff to look through. Worth spending a couple of hours here. Most friendly service.

There is so much history packed into this small space and all run by volunteers. Don't forget to wander around the Police Station, school room and sheds of old waggons and bits collected that are out the back. Very cheap entrance fee.

We absolutely loved the festival, the downside was that the re-enactment got cancelled due to the poor weather.There was heaps of food options when walking around and lots of clothes to choose from.Maybe an increased security presence due to things being stolen, however that was not our experience.Otherwise we had a great experience and will definitely be back next year!

A fantastic country museum with so much natural history

So much to see and read. Well presented.

Excellent museum , with fantastic fee of $5 ea. Take your time, at least 1 - 1.5 hrs. So many interesting items mostly donated by locals. Clearly labelled items makes the museum a huge learning experience. Thank you to the volunteer , grandson of family Playles ( Playles Hill lookout)

An excellent experience. So much to look at, very interesting. Lovely old couple running it. Very good value for money , only $5 entry.
