I took my Ford courier to Brett with a broken gearbox, I found him on facebook and immediatly flooded his inbox with questions about what could be wrong etc, i then showed him via a photo one small piece of gear that had come out of the trans when i changed the oil. he knew exaclty where it was from and quoted me a price to fix, when i dropped the car off, i asked if he could install a rear main seal and a clutch that i had previously bought, not only was he happy to do so, he didnt charge me for the labour of installing either part.when i went to pay for the car he was honest and mentioned a few other things that needed attention, his price was exactly as he said it would be, and he even sent me photos throughout the process so i could see what he was doing. Brett is a Legend and his work shows that. 110% reccomend.For anyone wondering what i had done, it was a gearbox rebuild, not a small job by any means and the process was flawless from start to finish, cheers Brett.

I took my Z28 Camaro into Westside Automatics, as the Turbo 350 automatic was slipping and not changing gears as it should. Several workshops have attempted to fix this issue, but with no success.Rex has carried out a service, adjusted and replaced internal parts and now it's like to driving a new car. Smooth and quiet, no banging in & out of gear. The car changes down correctly and accelerates like it never has since I have owned it.Thank you to Westside I strongly recommend them.10/10.

Best in the west, been getting all my Automatics rebuilt by Rex for 40 years. HQ Monaro Th400, HG Monaro Th350 even the wife’s Th700 just to name a few. Never had an issue, real world knowledge and professional, prompt service at a fair price. Don’t bother going anywhere else, just call Rex.

Paid $450! for labour for a few hours work to remove the radiator and flush. When I asked for a second opinion I got the car back and the radiator was actually unnecessarily destroyed. Not happy.

Rex is very experienced and does top quality work. Highly recommended!!
