Reflecting other feedback here regarding reception staff. The lady who answers the phone (I’m assuming it’s reception), was very unpleasant. It’s not necessary to be condescending or passive aggressive, being a kind human is not difficult. The owner of this business should consider how their customer-facing staff reflect poorly on and undermine their entire operation.

We received great service when our puppy ate something he shouldn’t have. He was seen quickly and sent home with us shortly after. Thank you team for your efficient service after hours!

Bree and Dr James helped our family so very much when it was time for our girl Mushu to go to sleep. They took us in at very short notice and made Mushu and ourselves so comfortable. Thanks guys.

I had my dog in for a double pelvic osteotomy for hip dysplasia early this year, she has just received the all clear and can go back to being a full of energy pup again, I thoroughly recommend this place, Dr Jacob Michaelson and Dr Jack Davey we’re very approachable and answered any questions I had, the reception staff were always polite and friendly despite major computer system problems, the vets and nurses must’ve treat my pup very well as she had no hesitations in going back there for her check up

Great service. The emergency vet staff were kind and understanding. I felt a huge relief and really comfortable taking my pet in to get looked at.

Stay away from ARH. I went for a surgery consult for my injured pet. The consult was with a vet who couldn’t and didn’t know what surgery was needed, complete waste of time. A consult should be with the surgeon preforming the surgery, to get all info about the surgery required. First thing they wanted to do was sedate my pet and redo X-rays, claiming our general vet only took one view and more X-rays were needed to see all ligaments. When I declined to do this, I was talked into believing euthanasia was the best option. After asking many questions, the only answers I could get was to have my pet put down or pay $xxxx for an unknown surgery, which they will ‘figure out’ on the table. I couldn’t get any info about the surgery, even after a follow up phone call, just pay the money or put her down. Complete waste of time attending this consult.I took my pet to another vet. Not only did they confirm all X-ray views were present, X-rays are for bones, not ligaments. An MRI is needed to see all ligaments clearly and doing this wasn’t necessary and would not effect how the surgery was preformed. He also didn’t want to put my pet under extra stress for unnecessary tests. Not only did this second vet know exactly what surgery she needed, everything was explained in great detail. I didn’t need to ask questions as everything was explained. They also confirmed euthanasia was not necessary for my young and healthy pet.ARH vet is only about money. If they don’t get the money, they will tell you to euthanise.I am so glad I didn’t listen to ARH and got a second and third opinion. Not only did this save the life of my pet, it cost me 1/4th of the cost quoted at ARH.The only thing ARH done for us was cause a great deal of emotional distress and leave my pet in pain while I sourced a second option.There are heaps of vets in Canberra able to do specialist surgery’s. Don’t bother with ARH.

They are just awesome! Super helpful & try to save you money at every opportunity. I, of course, was there as I was in a pretty distressing situation and they could not have been better, in every way! Truly thankful.

We were referred to ARH from our local vet with our dog who suffers from chronic vomiting - we saw Kim who has been nothing but accomodating, kind & full of knowledge, she rings as soon as she gets results & updates - She is thorough when discussing results and she answers all questions we have. After testing at ARH we have a diagnosis after over a year of no answers. We now have a treatment plan and goal & Kim has advised us to ring / contact her should we have any concerns going further. The support from Kim and the team at ARH has been above expectation.I highly recommend ARH and Kim.
