We have worked collaboratively with North Building Group over the last 5 years on a range of high end premium homes. They are not only well organised and professional, but are also easy to deal with and have a great understanding of what is required to achieve a high quality product.Our business has thrived because of the opportunity to work with Ged and his crew and we could not recommend them highly enough.

We are Interior Designers and have recommended and worked with North Building Group on five projects over the past 5 years. The quality of their work, their communication skills and their integrity make them a stand out compared to other builders. North Building Group are one of our favorite builders and we highly recommend them.

We have worked with North Building Group for the past 6 years on over 20 different projects, ranging from small fit-outs to large scale high end design builds. Throughout the duration of these projects we found that the communication and liaison with NBG was second to none, which allowed for the desired high end result to be achieved.North Building Group are great to deal with and I have & will continue to recommend them to anyone.

North have undertaken two projects for us, a kitchen, bathroom and living adjunct and later rebuilding an antique verandah. The standard of work has been excellent and Ged and his team were a pleasure to have on site. The work was well-organised and communications were proactive and Ged's quoting and accounting were professional and spot on. There were no defects in the workmanship. Between projects they have assisted us with resourcing other tasks and we are looking forward to the next project with North.

We built our family home with North Building Group 5 years ago. The whole process was made easy and what can be a stressful time, we found it enjoyable. Our experience with Ged and his trades was exceptional. If we were to build again, we wouldn’t pass on using North!

Our Melboure south-eastern suburban, Glen Iris home renovation & landscaping came in at a cost of approx $2mil.The renovation build timeframe, quoted by North Building Group (NBG), was 10 months.Unfortunately NBG had to be removed from the site after 20 months - With the job unfinished and failings in may area’s.The list of failings included :-Outdoors BBQ collapsing-Cabinetry shelving unsupported & drooping down-Cavities Sliding Doors scratching-Steel windows leaking with oversized gaps requiring replacement. Magnets were installed to stop flimsiness and seal doors.-kitchen floor tiling an uneven finish-landscaping drainage; agi drains & storm water were not installed as per plan, or not at all. Creating significant drainage issues-Pool light not installed as per plan & paving steps removed.-Failure to polished cellar concrete floor.…and much more!This amounted to $0,000’s for us to fix which continues today.They ignored constructions drawings and cut corners.All these points were highlighted in the independent report provided to them & the Domestic Building Disputes Resolution of Victoria (DBDRV) in 2019 (Copy available on request).NBG will put forward their view - we made changes which created the delay. And yes, we did make changes (& all changes were extras, agreed to and paid for). However the independent assessment found a fair amount of time for the additions/changes was 14 weeks - not 42 weeks which North took until kick off site.As the project progressed NBG became more and more disorganised (the site manager change of 3 occasions). It became evident they did not have the skill-set to provide a high-end premium finish in a timely manner.Over the past year we have had to employ tradespeople to fix the list of issues left by NBG. Which has left us $0,000 out of pocket.We would never recommend them. 

North Building Group team are highly professional and their attention to detail is extremely high. The number of projects we have worked with NBG on, all the clients have been impressed by their high quality of finish. We highly recommend North Building group for your next project.

Ged Fitzgerald & North Building are true professionals with a meticulous eye for detail. His team recently finished a new build on the Great Ocean Road with impeccable finishings - all to budget and timeline. His team are dedicated and hard working making the process stress free. A knowledgeable team with great trades. Extremely happy with the program and the result which delivered a brilliant home to the best standards.

North Building constructed my architectural office fit out in 2019. Ged’s attention to detail was amazing, his level of service was extremely high and his professionalism was excellent. I wholeheartedly recommend them for any building work and I look forward to building with North again soon.

We are more than pleased with the result of The Arborists, as are our patrons and staff. Ged and his team took on this project with tough conditions we gave him. The building site was in the middle of a busy street in the heart of Geelong on a tight block, amongst a built up area.The best part of this partnership was creating a unique space allowing us to keep amazing trees which allow the general public to enjoy.Communication was key and Ged was on our wave length. His calm manner and nothing is to hard attitude allowed us to achieve a tremendous venue in Geelong.Ged has a network of trades he engages with and they are as professional and diligent as North Build.Look forward to dealing with Ged on future projects.
