Completed my HR, Daryl is a good teacher, he was tough on me but patient..i walked away with my license, so he only had good intentions to make that possible for me...he would do the same for anyone else wanting to get their truck licence.

Advice is just listen and do as your told even if you think it doesn't make sense. It will. Darryl was a great trainer who got me through to getting my HR license. Highly recommended.

Well I certainly found if you listen to Daryl's instructions, you will be just fine. I have never driven HR truck on the road before. Done his coarse and got my licence. I did have trouble at first trying to understand what he was teaching me, But after 10 mins in the truck everything made sense. I would recommend his course. He was affordable and he is an easy going bloke. 10/10!

WOULD NOT RECOMMENDVery unprofessional, unorthodox method of teaching. Darryl’s way of teaching is continually hounding you on the things u are doing wrong from when u first get in the truck, and not explaining how to do them properly in the first place. After both lesson’s I got out of the truck feeling frustrated and confused. He contradicts every thing he is saying so it’s hard to know what is the right way or not. I had to cancel my test because I was no where near confident enough to sit it. I ended up wasting $1,300 for HC by using his services. He is very overpriced, he pockets $1,240 for 5hrs driving, the test booking only costs $60. If u want to listen to him brag about how long he’s been driving trucks and for him to boast about how much his missus loves your hard earned dollars then go with this bloke. Otherwise I suggest you call a professional. PK’s in Airlie Beach do a better job

Very very happy I could not thank him enough.Thanks to Daryl I have my HR licence , tho I must confess I found it very frustrating the first lesson as I didn't understand his way of training, the second lesson was much better as I had a concept to follow on what the expectation were , I just needed to understand why we did what we did , all I had to do was shut up and listen to his instructions and we got along just fine .If u have any questions , please wait till the end of the lesson as he will talk over you while driving.Remember he is the trainer .I will definitely be coming back to u guys for further training.Thank you

WOULD NOT RECOMMENDThe instructor harasses, bullies, demeans and demoralizes the student.His teaching methods are archaic and downright nasty. Wish we would have read the other reviews before signing up with him.

Originally booked in 6 moths earlier & with our schedules not lining up due to no fault from either parties Daryl was a dream to deal with, He appears the kind of guy if you're up front with him he will do his best to help out, I highly recommend his services & best advice is to listen what he says, it seems weird & unorthodox however its his way of trying to reprogram our brains from the bad habits we all pick up on the way. I admit he is very strict on his teachings however if you try to meet those standards the test is a dream, I know I would much rather be taught strictly than loosely & end wasting over a grand on nothing.

Trainer definitely knew what they were talking and was able to quickly get me my HR licence when it was needed. Might have been a bit of an odd bloke, but he was a great trainer.

Hi, I did my training for a HR licence with Daryl, he is very good at his job, I passed straight away because of his constant direction on how to operate a truck, he was patient with me and corrected all my bad habits, thanks

Daryl is very consistent with his directions, just listen and understand what he is saying, definitely pays off come test time. Very well spoken and honest. Highly recommended.
