Apia

Apia are full of in competent staff members. I had my house flooded over 5 months ago and am still waiting for money to enter my account. They even sent the money to the wrong account even after confirming the details. If you want to send pictures of damages 8 times because they keep losing the images be with them. They have been the worst insurance company Iv ever dealt with.

I had an accident (not my fault) in Jan and got car back May. The vehicle sat in holding yard till end of Feb even though 2 repairers were assigned to the car.No communications or follow ups even when requested in writing, via the web, emails & via phone callsDetails on crash website incorrect (informed them on 4-5 occasions)Had to call them every 2 weeks to extend the hire car- Why it's not automatic is a mystery.If claims are what keeps a customer they have failed big time!

I cannot recommend Apia highly enough!! Whilst the wait time to speak with someone on the phone can be quite lengthy, the professionalism and enthusiasm of the staff has always been exceptional. I now opt for the online chats whenever possible and find it an extremely efficient way to manage my needs. We have had two occasions over the years which have required significant insurance claims and both times could not fault, in any way, the service we have received! Absolutely have no intention of changing from Apia and continue to recommend them highly to family and friends.

After almost 10 years with Apia we had a leak behind our dishwasher which has ruined our floating floor boards which have now been discontinued and we are unable to match them as they are from Germany, I was told Apia would cover the cost for the damage only in the room that it was caused.. that was fine as I have an open plan living and two lounge kitchen and dining are all in one. I have now had a call to tell me that Apia will NOT cover the room Only the damaged flooring! Well I have paid out enough money over the last 10 years to you guys for you to be covering the cost of the flooring in the room you have said! You now expect me to have two different coloured floor boards because you only want to fix 6m of flooring not only are you not fixing what you said you would fix I am not also out of pocket myself! This is why we have insurance to start with!!!! I’ll be cancelling ALL policies with Apia! Absolutely disgusting and will be going to current affair!
