Green Oasis Lawn and Reticulation

Green Oasis are the worst company I have ever dealt with. What was meant to be a three day job is now two and a half weeks in and still not finished. They don't turn up when they say they will and while I was away they took full payment from my wife without the job being even nearly complete. They ordered more than 150 more paving slabs than required. My neighbours tell me they have parked vehicles on the road directly opposite each other that causes traffic to build up. My wife can't put washing out because they will not move their machinery and pallets away from the line. My advise is, stay well away from Green Oasis Lanscaping.Without prejudice. The took another 5 weeks, they had to redo most of it again. It still isn't good quality and they owe me change from the payment that they took from my wife. Please folk's, save yourself major heartache, do not go near these guy's. You will regret it. Without prejudice again.

I am looking to engage the services of a professional and reputable lawn and reticulation contractor for a fairly sizeable project but having read the reviews I will not be approaching this company. I acknowledge that some people are never satisfied and will write an unwarranted bad review. What I do find strange however is that despite the bad reviews this company has received it has not attempted to defend itself by responding to any of them. This would indicate that the probabilty is that they have no defence and are obviosly not worried about their declining reputation. If it wasn't for the extremely bouyant market I suspect that this company would soon go out of business.

Hired this company to lay couch turf to our small backyard. The installers arrived day of booked install however the actual install of the turf was terrible. I had asked for sand/building rubble to be removed before laying the grass which wasn't done at all. The compaction of the soil was terrible with lots of lumps and bumps once the grass was laid. They didn't even compact the grass after install, I had to chase them up to get this done. In the end, the grass died a couple of months later and no amount of water, wetting agent and baileys 3.1.1 was going to save it. Do not recommend.

Magnificent service from start to finish.Great communication and fair problem solving strategies employed.Communication was prompt, courteous and followed up.Green Oasis was the only business from six who responded to my enquiry.Website operators failed dismally.They will be busy going forward, unlike other operators I contacted.Customers have long memories.Well done to a first class business.Kim Baker.

Mike and the team are great operators. We had lawn and retic laid and they were professional and helpful along the way. They were more than happy to assist with any issues that popped up or questions I had. Would absolutely recommend these guys!

Great team. Very professional. The culture of the company reflects in its people. Very polite and understanding. Excellent after sales service by checking up on the lawn and sprinklers.We contacted them for a quote to install new lawn, reticulation and build a retaining wall in our backyard after the pool removal. Michael provided some excellent suggestions after carefully reviewing our requirements. We really liked his approach and suggestions and accepted their quote.As promised, they were able to transform our backyard within the week. Michael and his team delivered on time and on budget. Results were better than our expectations.These guys are passionate about their work. Michael kept checking on how the new lawn and plants are performing for next couple of weeks. Their team came in to adjust and replace the sprinklers based on our feedback.We are going to use them again for our front lawn installation. Highly recommended.

Green Oasis put in new reticulation and installed new grass and put paving under the clothes line.They did a great job and would recommend them

Absolutely shocking company. Terrible communication and really not happy with the results. I honestly debated writing this review because I just could not be bothered giving any more energy to these people but hopefully it helps someone not have to go through what we did.- They took our deposit (over 3k), told us a date but failed to book the work so were a no show.- They never once called us back when they said they would, instead I had to call them back several times.- Had to come scope the work again after taking our deposit blaming some Liam guy as the problem when we had never dealt with him and all 3 people we had dealt with were still there, Annette, Mike and Fred.- Ghosted us for 3 days before finally booking in the work.- Was told the work would take 2 days but ended up taking 7, never once arriving when they said they would and instead would be 3-4 hours late and they still haven’t completed what was discussed.- Confirmed ant control and was told it was purchased but they never put it down.- They threw rubbish in our garden beds.- 1 hour after they “finished” the work they sent us the invoice, and then had the audacity to chase us a few days later when they hadn’t even completed the job.- And again promised that the electrician would come to install a new controller and they never showed.- As for their work the reticulation doesn’t cover the entire lawn so now we are getting multiple dead patches, they even missed putting in a sprinkler so an entire corner isn’t covered and the sprinkler heads out the front are too high so when we park there they will snap.

I have become so frustrated with the quality of the workmanship and conduct of this company I feel obliged to write a review. I would much rather deal with a company and resolve a situation privately but this company are simply ignoring our communications and our efforts to do so.I have left this company a one star rating simply because there is no option for a zero star rating.I will never use or recommend this company again.We have had a very poor service and product ever since we accepted their quote and deposit was paid. The lawn we had installed in late August is already dying and needs frequent hand watering to keep it alive since the reticulation is so inadequate and the thorough reticulation plan that was promised is basically non-existent.We have tried on numerous occasions to email them and get them back to fix the issues but they are non-responsive and the only time they communicate is when they are requesting that we pay the remainder of the account despite the work not being completed to a satisfactory level.From start to finish this is our experience:- My wife asked them if they could send through a schedule so she could ensure everything was right for them and they had all access to everything and she would be there. Asked them if they needed access to electricity and water. They didn’t respond.- Didn’t turn up on the first day as scheduled and didn’t communicate that they wouldn’t be coming. We got in touch and then were told it would be the next day and they would complete one day late.- They didn’t order enough turf which meant that the job was not finished on time and blew out into the following week.- Earthworks (clearing of old yard, levelling of land and prepping for lawn) was a bit slapdash, but I was reassured when I questioned the quality of it that it was sufficient, which I trusted, until now when some of the old plants that were supposed to be removed during earthworks process have started shooting back through again. In hindsight a bit disappointed that we didn’t go with our own guy for this but green oasis advised us it is better to use their contractor as they know ‘how we like the land to be prepared’. It is also visibly uneven.- Retic initially was installed and left, possibly without checking how it worked properly since one section had water spraying directly into our mail box and another section had water spraying directly in through the kitchen and laundry windows. They have since been and ‘fixed’ this but now, the retic does not cover sections of the lawn leaving around 30% of the area dry, brown, dying and needing to be hand watered.- During the turnaround time for the first fixing of retic, a variety of other weeds started to shoot through the lawn in different areas of the lawn. We aren’t sure if this is due to the earthworks not being done correctly or if the turf had weeds in it. Either way the response was to try a weed and feed type product to which the team member admitted he wasn’t sure if it would harm the lawn or not but would give it a try anyway.- Payment - we paid half up front and then during the process of rectifying the issues the company requested that we settle the account. We advised that we would not settle until all the work is done satisfactorily. As business owners ourselves, my wife and I decided that as a gesture of goodwill that we would pay them half of the remaining account and reiterated that we want nothing more than to pay the company in full for a quality product and service and will settle the rest once the work is finally finished to a good standard. Since then we have received further reminders to pay the remaining account but no contact in reply to our emails requesting that they come and fix up the lawn and retic.No doubt that one or two of these issues alone would be no grounds for complaint but all together this process has been a train wreck and what should’ve been a simple and enjoyable process was a time consuming mess.The customer service here is shocking and comes second only to the quality of their workmanship.

Could not be happier. Fantastic service and the team were extremely professional and polite. I had a new retic system installed and turf to the front and the back. Michael was extremely helpful and even reduced the total price without me asking, when it was discovered we wouldn't need a licensed plumber due to there being an existing point. Will be using their services again. Highly recommend!
