The food was fantastic! We went with my boyfriend and ordered several dishes to share. Some potatoes with condiments, broccolini with walnuts and a sauce, meat balls and then some Pappardelle with ragu. I can't say enough. The atmosphere was very warm and cosy and the service was very good. To finish we shared a tiramisu. I can't tell you how good it was, you have to try it!

I visited a friend who lived around the corner of this restaurant and had not tried it, so we gave it a go on Thursday evening. The staff were very friendly and attentive. We ordered the special which was muscles for entree. Then proceeded with crab linguine as mains each with Brussels sprouts as a side dish to share. We also had dessert that ended the meal on a perfect note. The food was delicious, we finished everything on the plate despite usually having a small appetite. The ambience was great and the alcohol and beverage selection was extensive. Would return to try other dishes some other time. Highly recommend this place because it was casual yet provided comfortable seating and excellent service.

We used to come here a lot, especially after the first lockdown, the food was amazing, the cut to order salumi and prosciutto and handmade pasta was perfect local Italian bistro fare. But tonight was pretty bad, which makes me sad to say because it wasn’t the service, they were lovely, just the food was terrible. Who puts sun dried tomatoes in seafood pasta, that is clearly not hand made? And my husband’s steak was chewy and tasteless, has there been a change of chef/owner? Because, it was definitely not the same place we loved. Unfortunately, won’t be back again, sorry guys with Totti’s next door, while being Bondi pretentious and expensive, does some really delicious food and proper handmade pasta, that Elva used to do, what we ate tonight does not stand a chance. I really hope for your sake, you understand the value of being a David to Merivale’s giant and get back to doing the delicious, fresh, unpretentious fare we all loved about you, or you risk losing that battle. My favourite Italian in Bondi. This place never ever disappoints. Option of indoor and limited outdoor seating. Menu is not extensive, but what they do, they do really well. Delicious wine menu, tends towards mid to high price but that's usual in Sydney. This place is worth eating at.

I took my father here on Saturday for an early Birthday dinner as he was in Sydney for the weekend. Food, service and suggested wine were all excellent. Staff were so attentive and all our meals were really special, it was a lovely evening. Thank you.

Good service and delicious food. The roasted artichokes and baked cacciotella are great to share, but are so tasty, you will want to keep them all for yourself! Our greens concisted entirely of snow peas (maybe they were out of beans and spring onions), but we hardly ever get snow peas, so that was perfect. The rib eye was served in two pieces, so my wife and I were able to have one piece each. It was cooked rare as requested and was soft, juicy and tasty. The rigatoni con ragu was not up to the same excellent standards as the rest of the food and the restaurant was quite noisy, but apart from that, I'd highly recommend it to others.

Could not speak more highly about this venue, the team and the food at Elva.We hosted a 40 person long lunch on the weekend for my partner's 50th birthday which was absolutely amazing.I honestly cant think of a single thing to improve.Keep it up guys and will see you again soon.Matt & EJ

A beautiful bar restaurant classically decorates with a contemporary look. The food was good - pasta, namely, and the baked cheese. A couple of dishes were over salted and it’s probably just a teething issue of being a new restaurant. Worth a shot.
