MM4X4 Lockup Kits

Have been using for a couple of years now in our lc200. Great product, easy to use as all automatic and the backup support is second to done. Highly recommended.

I have just done a long trip using the MM4X4 Auto mate Torque converter clutch lock up kit, on my 2011 NW diesel. I drove from Wodonga to Marulan, towing a Bluesky Fairhaven Hi rider 22'. Caravan 2.5 tonnes, last Thursday and back today, Moss Vale to Wodonga. I drove on or just under 100 km/ h the whole way. I used manual shift and travelled in 4th gear, changing back to 3rd on a lot of hills. I found 5th gear to be too high at 100ks and it drove happily in 4th at around 2600 rpm which is right in the best part of its torque range. I am amazed how much difference it has made. On the way up I did 421 km on 61 litres (14.5 litres per 100ks) on the way back it was 450km on 69 litres (15.3 litres per 100 ks) my normal for this trip is around 19 to 20 litres per hundred. So thats about a 25% fuel saving. In addition to not heating up the transmission and the high revving slip kind of feel that the standard transmission has, when unlocked, it feels just like a manual in the way it drives. The road I tested on is all freeway but is quite hilly if you know it, and I'm sure that on a flat road it would be down around the 12 or 13 litres. This is amazing towing a full size caravan. So its a big thumbs up from me, very impressed.

The MM 4x4 lockup kit by far has made the biggest positive impact on how my 2015 LC200 drives, especially when towing. Trans runs so much cooler and the fuel savings are outstanding- (I feel after 6 months of ownership it has already paid for itself.)Instructions are easy to follow. Self installed in about a hour taking my time.I reviewed all of the lock up kits before I selected MM 4x4. The two standout reasons I I picked this brand is for its willingness to unlock when ever that is in the best interest of the cars safety. It senses load on clutch pack etc by some magic ones and zeros and unlocks to stop over stressing the gearbox. Rapid breaking and other potential gearbox shock loads are considered in its algorithms.The second most important reason i selected MM 4x4 is because I don’t need think about it or modify my driving style to accomodate its “needs”. It simply does what it does in the background without fuss. All you need do is smile with how much better the car drives, how cooler the trans runs and how much it saves in fuel costs.If that was not enough, it’s Australian engineered and built.A great product so if you are looking for a lock up kit your search has now ended.

I have a kit in my Land Cruiser. The instructions are bloody fantastic and are very easy to follow . The lock up works exactly as explained in the videos . Get one!!
