The thought of buying a car with them started pretty early. Confident in their skills I texted them and told the about all our wants and needs. They were incredibly considerate and patient with us, which helped given it was a big decision to be made with buying a car. From the first day we commenced with the order until the day we picked it up everything went smoothly, all our questions were answered fast and of course the car looked great. The attention to detail was visible, as there were close to none optical inbalances even though it was a used car. After the first week of driving I must say the car feels great... you don't feel the age of it while driving. And the after care and Service is even better! You will get help with paperwork and be treated like a costumer well after the Initial sell of the car.Cheers guys, really made a dream come true!

When we were looking for a car, we came across Backpacker Cars Australia on the Internet, at first the website didn't indicate a car dealer... When we stopped by out of interest, the guys showed what they could really do! We were accompanied by the guys from the consultation about the purchase to the registration of the car. All in all a cool atmosphere, competent guys and top cars with a warranty!

Thanks to Tim, Marty and the team for the great welcome and especially for the advice. We had a tight budget and quite a few issues with the size of the vehicle and they gave us the best advice possible.The vehicle had two minor problems, the windscreen was cracked by itself and an engine light had come on.Within 3 days of the problems occurring they took the vehicle back and fixed everything without asking for anything in return.Great service, 100% recommended !

Bought an old Nissan Pathfinder off these guys, initially everything seemed great, we were told that their mechanic would check the car for all upcoming issues etc, 3 weeks after purchase we had suspension problems, which they fixed after a long wait, now 3 and a half months later and 5000ks down the car is completely broken we are going to take it to the wrecker.These guys are convenient, they do a lot ahead of the purchase for you, but the communication after purchase is horrid and you are not put as a priority at all. We called them after breaking down for possible warranty, and there was little to no communication on their end. Our warranty had indeed run out, but we were not sure and after telling us that they would try and contact the mechanic never got back to us. So i rang them up every other day and eventually just personally gave the phone to the mechanic in person. Whole process took days and as a backpacker that meant being stuck on the spot. Our car has internal engine issues that are not worth fixing regarding the price and age of the car, which brings our whole roadtrip to a halt. It might just be unlucky, but considering the little time and distance we have driven it, it seems hard to not feel screwed over.

Really happy we found these guys! They have a lot of knowledge and offer good advice on what set up you might need depending on your trip. We had looked on our own to find a car in decent shape with no luck. Using backpacker cars took all of that stress away and now we’re on the road with peace of mind that we have a reliable car with a great camping set up. They are very willing to help you out and have really great customer service. They stand behind the product that they sell and make sure that their customers are hitting the road in great vehicles. You won’t find this kind of assurance on a backpacker car sales board. Highly recommend taking this route!
