The Dive Shack

After completing my PADI Open Water Diver Course with The Dive Shack, I can not recommend them enough. Our instructor Caitlin was the perfect instructor - keeping things fun, calm and motivating - whilst also ensuring safety was in the front of our minds. She was great at working with each student, and catering to their individualism - and also creating a bond within the group across the 4 days. The Dive boat is brilliant, and the team on board were friendly, supportive and helpful. We hired all our gear, and it was all fantastic - well fitting, and well kept. Thank you Dive Shack.

Great experience diving with these guys. Cleyon and Paul know they stuff and provided great equipment. Looking forward to my next boat dive with them.

Paul and Ricky were exceptional instructors who brought me from zero diving experience to being able to now dive comfortably. The boat dives included in the course were particularly helpful in building my diving confidence. Great people, great program, and would recommend to anyone interested in diving!

We had 4 fantastic dives with Paul from the Dive Shack last weekend, going out on both Saturday and Sunday. Paul gave us a very clear safety briefing at the start of the day, increasing my confidence as it has been a little while since I have been diving. We went out the Aldinga Pinnacles - an amazing dive site with different depths, drop offs, and walls of sea grasses, incredible fish and tons of really colourful nudibranchs and amazing tiny sea-life. We also saw a few southern blue devils, huge purple star fish, snappers to name but a few. It was a fantastic weekend out on the water, and all very smooth, with Paul encouraging all of the newer divers like me. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to see the amazing diving around South Australia.

Absolutely loved the free diving course offered by the dive shack. Alex our instructor was amazing and really opened our eyes to the learnings of freediving, including to trust in our bodies and minds and embracing our capabilities! We went to some beautiful spots, and couldn’t recommend this course more!

Was delighted with the outstanding customer service I received from The Dive Shack. In particular Paul. I placed an online order for a dive watch. Paul rang me the very next day and told me that they dont have it in stock. He recommended a few different alternatives and was also happy to give me a good price on an alternative watch. He also offered a full refund.I needed the watch for an upcoming dive trip. I told him that it had to arrive before a certain date. Paul was very honest and upfront and told me there could be a possible delay due to issues with the suppliers. I really appreciated this honesty.Thanks Paul.

It was the most amazing experience! Our instructor Alex was very thorough and he made it a really fun couple of days. He was really great at teaching us and pushing us to do our best- meeting us with where we were all at individually. Not once did we feel unsafe in the water :)

The free dive course was incredible and I learnt so much about myself and what I’m capable of when my mind doesn’t interfere. Alex was an excellent instructor, he was very patient and helped us to push through our mind barriers and relax so we could accomplish 10metres depth. I felt safe and supported throughout the dive. I was proud of my friends and I for achieving our own personal goals. I’m now obsessed with the peace I’ve found below the surface and want to go as much as I can. Highly recommend this course for a once in a lifetime experience.

Although I didn't end up diving while I was in town, the Dive Shack was recommended by quite a few friends so I stopped in for a chat. The staff were very friendly, answered all of my questions and were clearly very experienced. When I'm back, I'll definitely be hiring my gear from them.
